Difference between Orthodox and Catholic Eucharist.

I know Orthodox do not believe in transubstantiation right? As a Lutheran we believe that Jesus is present in the bread and wine but we believe they remain bread and wine.(Jesus is present in, with and under.) What exactly do Orthodox believe? And what happens with leftover bread and wine? Are both species consumed?

We didn't dogmatize Aristotelean metaphysics, but the general notion of transubstantiation -- that what we have is really the body and blood of Jesus Christ even though it still looks and tastes like bread and wine -- is something we agree with.

Yes, the gifts are consumed afterward by the deacon if there is one or by the priest if there isn't.

transubstantiation is one of many terms used to attempt to describe what happens. all we can say for sure is that it becomes the Body and Blood of Christ.

the Eucharist is consumed in its entirety.

on Great and Holy Thursday, the Eucharist is prepared for that (and kept in the tabernacle on the altar).
