  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It does when the President of the United States says it does. When he says they are on the same page, he’s saying that every action was agreed upon by both of them. He said early in his administration that he would not make a decision that she disagreed with. So while the ultimate authority is his, they are both culpable for every action taken by the White House.
So you are not disagreeing with anything I said about the powers of the VP and her role in government then, right?
So is this was a good way, why is a New Way needed?
I already covered that.

During the press briefing, Biden also destroyed any notion that Harris has not been on board with all the decisions that he has made as president — a remark that could damage her politically as she looks to distance herself from his disastrous record.

“I’m in constant contact with her,” Biden said. “We’re singing from the same song sheet. She helped pass all the laws that are being employed now.”

So if it’s all good, what is she pledging to do better?
Yep. She should be saying that: "the USA is riding a gravy train with biscuit wheels! Follow me for 4 more years"

It doesn’t matter what the official duties are. I kinda think you know that, though.

I know. But not based on truth.
You want to base it on extralegal powers? What?

What "heart"? That Harris has been involved in the decision making process of the Biden Administration at the highest level? She not only doesn't deny it, she claims it as part of her experience and qualification for the job she seeks.
Kamala follows the teleprompter, and not very good at that

The world after 3.5 years is still trying to figure out what Kamalas function is as VP, living in a basement would be a big
understatement

I am relating to you what Biden has said. All decisions for any major policies have been made by both of them.

If what you say about Harris is true, there should be no need for a new way forward.
Congratulations, you've discovered that campaign slogans are mostly nonsense.

It’s what you did. Don’t insult both of us by pretending that you didn’t.
I wasn't avoiding the subject. I was addressing your comment about the "new way forward" slogan, which was based on assigning to the slogan a certain amount of meaning or significance. My response was that the slogan doesn't warrant that much significance - that all political slogans are kind of stupid and meaningless. Even "MAGA" would be a throwaway line if Trump hadn't used it as a form of branding and explicitly pushed a sentiment of resentful nostalgia.

So we should conclude that Kamala doesn’t have a message, but just a silly comment that doesn’t really mean anything.
