It's amazing to watch this flip-flopping happening all over the place.
Didn't you read what she wrote? She said that she disagreed with a lot of what Harris stands for. But the danger of electing Trump is the worse option. She's not changing her attitude to what she believes in. She's saying that conservatives need to wake up to whom they are considering voting for.

It's flip-flopping because she went from "we won't give her the chance" to "I'm voting for her". Those are polar opposite positions.
But you didn't imply that. You listed her policies as if she had changed her mind on them. She hasn't. She's warning you about Trump.

Clearly her first predictions were wrong. Why wouldn't she change her position as a result of new information?

Obviously thise concerns were misplaced, since none of those things happened.

When was Harris ever President? How are the concerns misplaced? Are you saying Harris' policy positions have changed?

And vote to help create the things that she doesn't believe in.

I guess this is the inevitable end to the lesser of two evils mindset.

Yes, I know that's what she's saying now. I guess all of her concerns in 2020 about Harris raising taxes, taking away guns and health insurance and exploding the size and power of the federal government are all A-OK now.

Cheney has been saying that since Jan 6th, 2021. Consistently.

Cheney has certainly not been telling people to vote for Harris since Jan 6, 2021 because Harris wasn't even running until just a few short weeks ago when the Democratic oligarchs anointed and installed her without a single vote.

And yet refuse to concede why Cheney has endorsed Harris.

I don't particularly care who Cheney has endorsed or why. For that matter, I find the whole idea of "endorsements" indicative of the majority's inability to think for themselves. It's disturbing to me that there are people who will vote not based on policy or their own convictions, but based on what someone else tells them they should do.

It's disturbing to me that any American would vote for a man who does not abide by the U.S. Consitution.

As Dick Cheney noted in a campaign commerical in 2022 for his daughter. She was willing to lose her House seat based on her conviction....as opposed to her cowardly colleagues who refuse to speak up).

As John McCain said: Country over party.

You linked to her listing what she didn't want Harris doing and then saying that she'd endorse her. Endorsing her had nothing to do with policies. She's endorsing her despite her policies. Your post only served to emphasise how much of danger she thinks Trump is.

I've noticed a few people have difficulty in coming to terms with a protest vote.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney says he will vote for Harris

Former Vice President Dick Cheney announced Friday that he will cast his ballot for Vice President Kamala Harris this fall, confirming news that was first made public by his daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney, earlier in the day.

Both Cheneys are Republicans, and the elder served under President George W. Bush. The younger Cheney, who endorsed Harris this week, has become one of former President Donald Trump’s most prominent conservative critics.

"In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump," Dick Cheney said in a statement. "He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again."

“As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution. That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris,” he added.

Well, then that just means he's not a true Republican! Ha!

Wow. The world is upside down.

Trump has already called him an irrelevant RINO in response to his endorsement of VP Harris, so I guess his followers will soon be repeating the same.

All of a sudden past politicians like both Bush presidents, VP Cheney etc. are wonderful.
Cheney (both of them) are Republicans. They support Republican policies. They represent Republican ideology. There is very little that they have in common with Democrats. And they are not voting against Trump and for Harris because they support Harris's policies. They are not voting that way because they are now more aligned with Democratic ideals. They are telling everyone that despite their disagreements with what Harris is likely to do in power, the alternative to them is unthinkable.

Something to the extent that this is happening has never occurred before in US politics. People need to step back and ask why it's happening now.

They are of the ilk who undid the successes of Ronald Reagan and perpetual wars and immigration crises result from their “expertise”. They may actually be worse than the demos but their superficial conservatism makes them seem palatable as good “patriots”.

Dick Cheney has just endorsed Harris over Trump.

Dick Cheney says he will vote for Harris in 2024 and issues stark warning about Trump

Another well-known name has joined the expanding list of conservatives casting a ballot for Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris in 2024: former Vice President Dick Cheney.

"In our nation’s 248-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump," Cheney, a Republican who served as the No. 2 to President George W. Bush, said in a statement on Friday.

"He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him. He can never be trusted with power again," added Cheney, a controversial figure himself during a decades-long government career that includes roles leading the Pentagon, as White House chief of staff and serving as a Republican leader in the U.S. House.

Dick Cheney's statement on Friday endorsing Harris alluded to the events surrounding Jan. 6. "As citizens, we each have a duty to put country above partisanship to defend our Constitution," he said. "That is why I will be casting my vote for Vice President Kamala Harris."
