It is, paired with numbers manipulation, and a shocking lack of understanding of statistics, but I digress.Sadly, it's not a conspiracy theory.
Fifth time… People were already calling 911, it was causing issues, they created a line for people who were already calling with questions and problems to be able to be heard without bothering emergency services. There is no misrepresentation. The hotline was set up to report people for violating the social distancing rules. Which, to be clear, were based on absolutely nothing.
It is the difference between “here is a good number to call if you see a fire so we can decide if it’s a candle or a forest fire and then act because the number you’re all using now is not appropriate” and “you are ordered to go call this number any time you see something with a match or lighter and something flammable.”
Was this quote pulled from your baloney article?I get why you want to reframe that, since you seem to be in favor of it. But it was nothing more than a line for tattling on your neighbors.
"We're seeing crowds that are a little too big, especially around the lakes," said Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday. Bde Maka Ska, Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Nokomis are popular destinations for walkers, bicyclists and joggers, and when the weather gets nice – as it has the past two days – they're even more likely to attract Minnesotans looking to get some fresh air. In wake of the governor's stay-at-home order, which still allows people to leave their homes for fresh air and runs to stores for essential needs, a hotline has been established that allows anyone to report groups of people that aren't following social distancing measures.Perhaps the most astonishing line is that the governor's order still "allows people to leave their homes for fresh air". That's mighty kind of him!
