I’m asking if you are asserting that this particular news conference was scripted and that Biden was simply following the script without having to speak extemporaneously.

I am asserting it I was very possible. He has had an interview recently with pre submitted questions where the interviewer was fired. For this news conference he said he had a list of who to call on, it is very possible and likely that pre submitted questions were used. He is given pictures and instructions on how to enter and exit stages . No I can’t prove it happened in this case but neither can you prove it didn’t. Given past history it is highly likely. Sure he sometimes goes off script and the results are usually disastrous.

The democratic party needs to be purged. Sometimes a loss will do it. There are too many extremists that need to be cleaned out. If they do not get in touch with the American people and field good candidates then they will keep losing. In four years Trump will be gone too whether he wins or loses. His legacy will leave some impact both good and bad but in the end, America should still be here. Biden though is gone. The impairment can no longer be ignored. His recent NATO speech is just another example. Covering for him by the cabinet and family is unconstitutional and dangerous. I admit it is sad that many prefer a impaired Biden over Trump and the only reason they want him to resign is because his poll numbers are down. That is pitiful and is un-American. Trump and the GOP are not left unscrutinized and neither should the supporters of Biden. Being liberal does not give you a free pass.

To me it never seemed that there would be a realignment with Bernie. The label socialist is making a little bit of a comeback, but it is not approaching what was seen in the 1970s. In the 70s. socialism had more intellectual support. Today's socialism is not so idealistic, it seems much more based on envy and selfishness. Regardless, Sanders was too far extreme to be a serious contender and AOC will never get beyond her district. The one democrat that had a serious chance was Howard Dean but the media and party elites really turned against him. What is interesting is that Obama jumped ship, by frontrunning against Hillary. Had Obama been patient Hillary probably would have won, and Obama could have followed that up with two terms.

Liberalism is losing in the war of ideas and needs a new influx of potential voters. Why else do you think millions of illegals are allowed into this country? The recent events IMO will not bode well for the Biden camp. Why are they pulling Trump bashing ads? He was painted as "too extreme" and so is AOC, you're right. But I doubt that very many people who write them off as "too extreme" really understand what their position actually is All they really know is that it is called "socialism" so must be bad. The US will not ever have an actual labor party so long as the Republicans and the Democrats can keep the working class divided over irrelevancies.

I appreciate that you are about to reply directly to something i said but i explicitly was referring to whether they choose to replace Biden or not. To reiterate my point it appears most americans don't think too much of either choice (why would you?). Of a party works towards supplying a new and better candidate that IS a step in keeping the faith.

A poorly planned and executed insurrection by people thinking they have more going on than they do, does not mean there wasn't one.

They tried to silence the votes of the majority of America and that SHOULD be problematic whether you choose to characterize that specifically as an insurrection is just pedantic. Thr loser of an election almost gained power.
