The fact is, Presidents since at least Ronald Reagan have prescribed reports they call on during a press conference.

He was painted as "too extreme" and so is AOC, you're right. But I doubt that very many people who write them off as "too extreme" really understand what their position actually is All they really know is that it is called "socialism" so must be bad. The US will not ever have an actual labor party so long as the Republicans and the Democrats can keep the working class divided over irrelevancies.

Yes, there are lots of different kinds of mixed economies. For myself, I strive for the greatest efficiency in every policy and there are not any one size fits all. It is clear though that the medical system in the USA is broken. Education, Crime, Immigration. Thus, I like that at least Sanders and other radicals try. Libertarians have some great ideas too. Sadly there are very few reforms because the USA just borrows and will not come to reality until the next big reset.
