  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Latest Trump message to get people to donate:

Subject line: I’m digging a trench big enough for two

1717680102702.png

If this verdict has proven anything about our enemy….

It’s that if we lose, WE’LL HAVE NO COUNTRY LEFT AT ALL!

So we DIG IN right here, right now - and we don’t give these DEEP STATE CROOKS AN INCH OF GROUND.

I know you can do it Essentialsaltes, because you’ve dug a trench with me and held the line COUNTLESS times in the past.

YOU WERE THERE with me during the PHONY WITCH HUNTS.

YOU WERE THERE with me at the Mar-A-Lago Raid.

YOU WERE THERE when they arrested me and took my mugshot.

And NOW YOU, YES YOU, poured in your OVERWHELMING support after this DISGUSTING “Guilty” verdict!

Biden, his corrupt lawfare-wielding Goons, the communist left, ALL OF THEM are only doubling down on our COMPLETE annihilation this November.

WE WILL RESIST UNTIL THE END!

I’m asking YOU to send a message to these TRAITORS who want us to wave the White Flag.

[Give me money]

Well isn’t that a heck-of-a-thing! ?
The light is finally dawning on some people that Real True Christian Patriots no longer are a majority of the American voting citizenry, that they can lose without being able to blame a stolen election.

I'm sure it's only a coincidence that all you need to do is remove a single letter in order to change that into a common anti-gay rallying cry from the '90s and early 2000s.

Mark Robinson, the GOP candidate for governor of North Carolina, 'cleverly' talked about "British cigarettes" in social media posts from a few years back that have resurfaced.

Colorado Republican Party issues call to burn all Pride flags

The Colorado GOP’s mass email titled “God Hates Pride,” read, in part, “The month of June has arrived and, once again, the godless groomers in our society want to attack what is decent, holy, and righteous so they can ultimately harm our children.”

Valdamar Archuleta, president of LGBTQ+ conservative group Log Cabin Republicans of Colorado and current candidate for the state’s First Congressional District, said, “It’s alienating a large group of people within the party. Not just LGBT people, but our friends, our allies, our families. This was a massive mistake. We need to work on unifying the party and growing the party, not isolating people with divisive messages like this.”

Good luck with that.

A Lawmaker's Bag Was Repeatedly Drenched, and Now a Colleague Faces a Probe

A longtime state representative from southern Vermont is under fire after she was allegedly caught on video surreptitiously pouring water into a fellow lawmaker’s tote bag at the Statehouse.

Rep. Mary Morrissey (R-Bennington) faces an ethics investigation into whether she harassed Rep. Jim Carroll (D-Bennington) by secretly soaking his stuff several times during the recent legislative session, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation.

USA Today columnist shares his fan mail.

'We'll hunt you': Trump, MAGA supporters' violent rhetoric isn't a glitch. It's a feature.

There are plenty of kind and sensible conservatives out there, but a large swath of the Republican Party and its leadership have been overtaken by a movement that tolerates, and sometimes celebrates, extremism as long as that extremism helps or supports Donald Trump.

Here’s one: “You are a complete (expletive) scumbag... you sack of (expletive)... you talk alot of (expletive) but look and sound like a low iq (expletive) moron.”

And this little nugget: “May God [darn] and curse your life and infest you family.”

And this: “People like you need to be arrested and put in jail for what you did in 2020. You people are afraid he will get re-elected. You stole our country from us and we want it back!”

One reader said I will not “live through the next Revolution.”

Another wrote: “You woke, anti-police, illegal loving commie (expletive)s are the real problem. Be sure to move your fat [butt] to Canada when Trump wins. Loser.”

Each side has its fair share of nutters, but there is simply no equivalence in terms of which side feeds and nurtures the nutters and which side tamps them down.

Do they though?

I listen to a Persian who lives overseas in another western country. He's on "team Jesus" and is a secularist who believes in the traditional values of his European country, ie: the western world view and believes in preserving them.

The chat I have no issues entering, but death threats are a constant, and I mean constant feature from the left...

Death threats against the speaker, against those who support him, death threats against those who are ex Muslim, death threats against any Jews in the chat... It's bad, and it's personal.

This is on both sides, but it's far worse from the left. Far far worse.

There's a reason most content creators don't read the comments on their content... You can't.

Only if "the left" is some kind of cloudy boogeyman. People objecting to secularism or apostasy are not 'the left'.

the Marxist antifa fascist queer antisemitic woke Soros mafia conspiracy is not a thing.

Neither is the Islamic Enlightenment antisemitic globalist anti-Western anti-secularist Farmer-Democratic 'Left'.

Massachusetts Troll Who Sent Racist Death Threats to Interracial Couple Gets 7.5 Years

Federal authorities said Stephen DeBerardinis sent several racist slurs and threats to a couple — a white woman and a Black man — on Facebook Messenger starting on Jan. 6, 2021. [I guess we all celebrated the day differently]

When the couple told him they were reporting him to the police, DeBerardinis replied, “SNITCHES GET STITCHES,” with a picture of brass knuckles. He also wrote, “Read up more on me lol… you will see how me and my crew... [very naughty language]"

Court documents show DeBerardinis has a lengthy criminal history. His record reveals he was arrested more than 100 times in the last 24 years and previously convicted for threats, intimidation, false reports of a crime, impersonation of a police officer, and larceny, among other crimes.

A search of his home revealed he owned over 70 knives, 22 brass knuckles, swords, bullets, black powder for guns, stun guns, rifles, and several other weapons that were seized by authorities.

Federal authorities said his Facebook account contains numerous race-motivated posts filled with hate speech and white supremacist symbolism.

Oh, those darn leftists and their identity politics!

Vermont lawmaker apologizes for repeatedly drenching colleague’s bag

Rep. Mary Morrissey, who is serving her 13th term in the Vermont legislature, apologized from the House floor for her “disrespectful conduct” toward Rep. Jim Carroll. Both represent Bennington, a town of about 15,000 people.

She is no longer eligible to be appointed to conference committees, House Speaker Jill Krowinski (D) said in a statement from her office, dated June 11, adding that Carroll should file an ethics complaint. [He has.]

“I hope Jim, my legislative colleagues, all of our State House staff and those who work in this building, and the citizens of Vermont can forgive me for my poor judgment and actions, and allow me to take the necessary steps to repair what I have done,” she said.

In his remarks, Carroll said the first time he and Morrissey would sit down to work together again would be “awkward.”

“But we have to start somewhere,” he said. “So, thank you.”

She didn’t resign?
Well, how nice for her.
If she lasts more than two weeks, it’ll blow over until November.

Shasta County ditched its Dominion voting machines. Now, residents are braced for turmoil on Nov. 7

But the county’s longtime registrar-recorder, Cathy Darling Allen — the only Democrat elected to countywide office — ... said she plans to follow state law as she counts the votes. And that, she said, means using machines the county has bought to replace the Dominion ones.

That stance has infuriated some county residents who subscribe to conspiracy theories that elections have been riddled with fraud because of technology.

How election conspiracy theories tore apart this remote Northern California county

In five consecutive elections, voters in the rural county have selected her as their chief election official. [including 70% of the vote in 2022.] By those indicators, she seems pretty popular.

But she has received a steady stream of threats from a loud minority of Shasta County residents who falsely believe the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. She has been repeatedly accused in public meetings and on social media of engaging in both satanism and witchcraft. The most committed MAGA activists have circulated petitions accusing her of sedition and treason. She’s been followed walking to her car. Someone — she still isn’t certain who — installed a trail camera behind her office, where votes are counted.

It’s taken a toll. Darling Allen, 55, had no history of heart problems. But in November, she was diagnosed with heart failure. Doctors say stress was a factor, and told her that in order to stay alive, she would have to reduce it. She went on medical leave in December and officially retired as the county’s registrar of voters in early May, two years before her latest term was scheduled to end.

At a meeting in April, Francescut [Darling Allen's temporary replacement] explained an extended absence after last November’s election: Her father-in-law had died after a two-year battle with cancer. A man in the audience — whose dog took up the width of the aisle next to his seat, secured by a rope leash — saw an opportunity.

“Karma’s a [ladydog]!” he yelled.

What’s happening in Shasta County is a concentrated version of the same rage playing out in deep red counties across the United States. Think Kerr County in Texas or Cochise County in Arizona or Washoe County in Nevada, where election administrators have left office citing untenable treatment and consistently outraged constituents. While elections may be the outrage du jour, officials and longtime residents in all of these counties are concerned the damage to civic life will outlive the fad.

“This isn’t a big city. We can’t just stop talking to each other,” said lifelong resident Jenny O’Connell, who comes to the board of supervisors meetings each week and begs for civility. “‘Oh, gee, I’d love for my kid to go, but those other kids are there. I’d love to go to dinner, but the wrong people own that restaurant.’ It’s going to start breaking down our economy.”

At times, even she thinks her attempts are futile. At a meeting in late March, Supervisor Patrick Henry Jones was caught on a hot mic referring to her as “stupid Jenny.” During the same meeting, a speaker disguised by a gas mask to protect his identity read “leaked” texts from a different supervisor that referred to O’Connell’s husband, the local blogger who is also a county employee, as “a stupid piece of [poop]” and joked about beating him up and taking his lunch money.

[Jones faced a primary this year]

Ultimately, [Jones'] challenger — first-time candidate Matt Plummer — won so resoundingly that there will be no contest in November. Plummer got more than 60%, so he will take Jones’ place in January 2025.

When those results came before the board of supervisors in early April, Jones announced he had no intention of certifying the election.

Last week, after two days of public interviews, the board of supervisors voted 3-2 to hire retired prosecutor Tom Toller to fill Darling Allen’s position through 2026. Toller has never run an election or volunteered as a poll worker.

Heritage faces blowback after ‘bloodless’ revolution comment

The Heritage Foundation and its president, Kevin Roberts, are facing blowback in the wake of his comment about an ongoing second American revolution that will “remain bloodless if the left allows it to be.”

And in the wake of the comment, though without mentioning it, Trump distanced himself from Project 2025 — an initiative led by the conservative think tank that aims to provide a conservative policy blueprint for the next Republican administration and that has also ignited political firestorms.

Heritage and Roberts, though, are standing by the comment, dismissing the criticism as being in bad faith.

“Americans in 2024 are in the process of carrying out the Second American Revolution to take power back from the elites and despotic bureaucrats. These patriots are committed to peaceful revolution at the ballot box,” Robers said Wednesday in a post on the social platform X, continuing to describe the threat he sees and warning that “the Left may not allow a peaceful transfer of power.”

Heritage itself repeated the “bloodless” comment in a separate post on Xalongside a compilation video of Democrats, commentators and public figures making controversial comments about unrest and protests.

“The Second American Revolution will remain bloodless if the Left allows it to be,” the Heritage post said. “Unfortunately, they have a well established record of instigating the opposite.”

In unprecedented move, Washoe commission votes against certifying recount results

After multiple hours of public comment, during which many commenters urged the board to vote no and demand a hand recount, a motion to canvass recount results failed.

Exactly what happens next is unclear, but interim registrar Cari-Ann Burgess told reporters after the vote that the process now shifts to the Secretary of State's office.

Republican commissioner Clara Andriola, who joined the two Democrats in voting to certify the primary results last month, instead joined her fellow Republican commissioners Mike Clark and Jeanne Herman Tuesday to vote against certification.

It comes after officials recounted ballots in two local races last week — the results only changed by one vote in each race and confirmed that candidates Mark Lawson and Paul White lost their respective contests by large margins.

[The] recounts were funded by right-wing donor Robert Beadles — those payments are now the subject of an election violation complaint.

Protesters organized by Beadles, who gathered outside the county complex Tuesday morning, pushed commissioners to vote against certifying the results and to demand a hand recount.

County leaders have continually cited Nevada law, which states that 'All ballots must be recounted in the same manner in which the ballots were originally tabulated.'

[Beadles and his favored candidates are pushing for a hand recount, and now everybody is suing everybody.]
