How to be saved and go to Heaven: Believe on Jesus Christ(who is God and Lord). Believe(accept it is true) that Jesus Christ alone will save you(save means eternal life in Heaven). Have faith(Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see) and trust(confidently rely on/depend on something being true) in Jesus alone to save you. You can also be saved if you believe and trust that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures for the justification(to make right/forgive) of all your sins.

How would you define trust and faith in terms of how to be saved? Believe, faith and trust are similar terms. Believe means to accept that is true or to be persuaded something is true.

Trust: Confidently(quality of being certain) rely on (Rely: To need someone or something for help. To depend on someone or something)/depend.

Faith: Hebrews 11:1: NIV: Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1: KJV: Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. My version of the definition of faith is confidence in what we hope for and certainty about what we do not see.

It is simple God states to receive His free gift of Eternal Life, believe in Jesus.
So believe what about Jesus, believe that Jesus is who He states He is in The Bible.

Which is the resurrection and the life, The promised Messiah/Son of God*
*Messiah and Son of God are saying the same name about Jesus. These are not two different names a person must believe.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Believing in Jesus for salvation has the elements you described (acceptance of the truth about Jesus and confidently relying on Him).

There are three passages describing what it takes to be saved that come to mind that have these elements.

The first is Romans 10:13-17. It describes in reverse chronological order the steps to salvation. In chronological order, God sends out preachers to preach the gospel, preachers preach, unsaved people hear about Jesus, those who hear about Jesus believe in Him, those who believe in Him call on Him to save them, and He saves everyone who calls on Him. Believing the truth about Jesus is one part, but calling on Him (i.e., relying on His help) is another part of it.

The second is Hebrews 3:1-4:16 which talks about hearing God's voice and not hardening your heart. The believing part is clearly there, especially in Hebrews 4:2 which says, "For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it." And the trust element is also there, especially in Hebrews 4:10 which says, "For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His."

The final pasage is John 6:22-59. In it, Jesus tells us that God is involved in every salvation experience drawing people to Jesus (Jn 6:44), that those who have "heard and learned" from the Father go to Jesus for salvation (Jn 6:45), and Jesus saves everyone who goes to Him for salvation (Jn 6:37). I see "believing" in the words "heard and learned" and I see dependence in those who go to Jesus for salvation.

But there is another element to salvation that cannot be overlooked. "Believing in" and "relying on" Jesus does not save people. Jesus saves people who believe in Him and rely on Him. It is the paradigm chosen by God for salvation, which is so eloquently state in 1 Corinthians 1:21... "For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe."

Before faith and trust one must Love first.
Blessings.
I agree we really need to understand “trust, faith and truth”, but I do not agree with, we “Love” first which leads to faith and thrust.

We must “Love” to obey or do anything worthy, but that does not mean it has to come first.

I use the familiar prodigal son story a lot, but it is also what I see going on around me.

People go to Christ/God for very similar reasons to the young sons, which does not include Godly type Love. There are during our life “Coming to our senses times”, seeing the bad we have gotten ourselves into, see a disaster ahead of us and feeling the pain from hurting others and ourselves. We will not be loving or even liking God, since we can blame God for taking all our carnal pleasures away from us, even though it is our fault. We just need the prodigal son’s small faith /trust, we can “believe” (faith/trust) in God’s Love to help us even though we hate taking charity and deserve nothing from Him. We may not want to be like our unconditional Loving Father and not really like Him to be that way, but we are hurting and would be just willing to accept pure undeserved charity from Him. We are also wimps and do not want to take the hardship and death we fully deserve.

By just going to the Father, willing to accept, we are showered with unbelievable wonderful gifts, Love is pored out in the form of complete forgiveness and we have a new much greater fellowship with our Father. Luke 7 (he that is forgiven much Loves much), so we obtain this Godly type Love this way.

This is why the gate is so narrow and few will find it. Without Love first, everything else is moot. I am talking about agape love for our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. This kind of Love leads to true faith and ultimately the truth we all seek.
Blessings

Love is not a condition, how can love be a condition for an unbeliever.

Love is something that will grow in a believer after they have believed in Jesus. That is will grow, if they are properly taught and disciple shipped and develop a relationship with God

Love is something that may take a while to be established.

Especially if something tragic happens to a believer, they may even come to dislike God.

How does the nonbeliever first obtain Agape or Godly type Love?
Godly type Love is not instinctive (robotic, some knee jerk reaction).
Godly type Love is not forced on a person like a shotgun wedding with God holding the shotgun.
Godly type Love is way beyond human ability to learn, develop, deserve, randomly be given or earned, so it is provided as a free undeserving gift, but how can you get this gift?
The unbelieving sin can choose between a variety of different sins, so selfishly wanting something that you do not deserve is a sin but is available to the sinner to do.
All mature adults start out with the ability to believe in something and even trust in a wooden god, so they can direct this "faith" toward a benevolent Creator to trust His Love, but not because they Love this God.

Does the nonbeliever need to hear, they are destined for hell?
Will that sound like "Love" to the nonbeliever?
Are you saying: "Love comes by learning about Jesus", since that would make those who learn deserving of something?

The problem, the injustice, of fallen man is his alienation from God, stemming from man turning away from Him in Eden. Jesus came to reverse this anomaly, this injustice, this sin within us, to reconcile man with God. To believe in Jesus is more than believing that He died for our sins or having confidence in some aspect of His work. To believe in Jesus is to believe in God.
"Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God." 1 Pet 1:21

Everything Jesus said and did was a direct expression of who God is. Faith is the realization, within us, of the reconciliation with God that Jesus came to accomplish. As such it's the restoration of justice within man as it's the restoration of that vital relationship which was broken in Eden. Faith is to acknowledge God's existence, first of all, and His goodness, trustworthiness, mercy, and love. It's to come to know Him, and so to believe in Him. And this pleases Him immensely because this puts man, whom He loves profoundly, into the right place, where we are meant to be, in communion with Him. God's always had only man's highest interest and good at heart while enmity came from man, not Him.
"Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." John 17:3

Jesus came to definitively, fully reveal the true God. When we see Jesus, we see God. When we know Jesus, we know God; when we believe in, hope in, and love Jesus, we believe in, hope in, and love God. To the extent that we do these things our justice or righteous-our very purpose- is complete.

Love is really the goal. While faith and hope will no longer be needed in heaven, love, on an ineffably immense scale, will remain, and will make eternity truly worth living.

By returning to God, the Source of that love. Again, reconciliation.
I agree that God is the source of this Love and he is at my elbow, but what do I say or do to obtain God’s gift of “Love”?

When are you saying I left God, so I can return?

Why would I go to God without having Godly type Love already?

We’re alienated from God to begin with, and that alienation is the essence of the state sometimes called "original sin". It’s a state of injustice in itself because man was made for communion with God, and subjugation to Him as all of creation is meant for, and is lost, disordered, “dead” if apart from Him. That’s why reconciliation is crucial. We must be reborn. That’s why Jesus came. We can similarly turn back away from Him and die all over again. Then a change of heart would be required, and repentance. But I didn't know you left Him to begin with, BTW :) .

To obtain that love we come to know His love first of all, and so to love in return. As we enter His family and become His children we begin to increasingly become as He is, His seed now planted within us. This begins with faith, acknowledging His existence, His goodness, mercy, and love -and of our need for Him.

When they say trust in Christ for salvation, certainly that includes trusting in His sacrifice and blood as propitiation of our sins for redemption, which is by grace through faith and NOT works. So, trusting Christ and none of your "good" works like not sinning, charity, bible reading, prayer, etc least we become boastful like the pharises in self righteousness and blinded through pride, not being able to realize the truth of the total depravity of our own nature - there is even sin embedded in all of our good works.

Does anyone believe they can lose there salvation if they continue living in sin, therefore they are working to not sin to preserve it, least they lose salvation? I humbly ask how one can reconcile this maintaining salvation unto complete trust in Christ 100% for salvation?
