This pdf document is about 229 pages long. After the initial statements from Hunter Biden in this interactive deposition to the committee, there are a lot of details in there which may, or may not, have previously been made available to the general public.

Yet, I have never seen the actual names of the individuals. Did see that Hunter talked to a certain company but nothing that shows Joe Biden actually talked business with Hunter's business partners in China.

I trust the House Committee investigating the Bidens. It included Freedom Caucus members who were so anxious to impeach him that if there had been the slightest proof they would have jumped on it.
But they couldn't find anything. They had to cancel the impeachment. A committee of rabid Biden haters had to cancel their impeachment because they had no evidence.

I have reason to distrust the Republicans on the oversight committee and the efforts of Comer in particular. This isn't Trump or Republican hate - or do just want to believe the worst of Biden because you hate him? The 'you just hate ____" is a cop-out argument.

I can think of quite a few possible explanations for this.

1. Joe Biden is lying and has been using his positions to help his son advance his business.

2. Joe Biden knowingly met with Hunter's business associates, but did not discuss business with them. He stretched the truth by saying that they never met.

3. Joe Biden met with Hunter's business associates, but they were not introduced as such. He was, therefore, mistaken when he said he'd never met his son's business associates, but not lying about it. Obviously, if he didn't know they were business associates of Hunter's, no business would have been discussed.

4. Hunter Biden is lying to his business partners about his father meeting with their foreign associates, or at least the nature of their interactions.

There's not really sufficient evidence to rule out any of these scenarios entirely, so it seems odd to me that so many have jumped to the conclusion that it's scenario 1.

Personally, I think it's probably a combination of scenarios 2 and 3, with maybe a touch of 4. While there isn't enough evidence to completely rule out the possibility of scenario 1, the evidence for it is circumstantial at best, and is more easily explained by the other three scenarios.

Overall though, I don't see this as a particularly big deal. Politicians schmooze, and people in the orbit of politicians (including their children) try to leverage their proximity to power in order to make a buck or build power of their own. At worst, that's all that seems to be going on here. And if we're going to condemn Biden for it, there's just as much evidence for similar activities from Trump and his family (Ivanka scored some major business deals in China, Jared Kushner got a huge investment from the Saudis), so it's not like the alternative is any better. Back to square one.

Well, by the time it's gone through Bannon, Fox News, Newsmax, etc. it has been exaggerated and blown up beyond recognition and "others" may think it's the truth.
Regardless, the House Committee investigating Biden was burning the midnight oil trying to find a tiny bit of truth in those allegations and had to give up---a clear sign that others need to do the same.

I most definitely was, sir. In fact, I deployed twice to Iraq when I was still active duty in the Army. Hindsight is 20/20. Huge policy mistakes costed an untold amount of lives. Cheney and those in the Bush Administration should have been held accountable and responsible. Just like the Senators, Congressmen, and Congresswomen who voted in favor of the invasion of Iraq as well as the subsequent decades of involvement in Iraq should also be held accountable there.

I disagree. I believe that the impeachment proceedings were canceled because those committee members understood knew that there was not enough votes in the House of Representatives for that impeachment to have a majority number of votes.

The Republicans were in the majority, but without evidence they couldn't even garner party support.

Unlike the Democrats - I think the Republicans are unwilling to impeach if they don't think it will stick.

That does not mean that Biden isn't crooked - only that they don't think they could get the votes.
