Also, the idea that he used his authority as VP to get his son this and other foreign business.

Xi is not a business partner. (Xi was mentioned in one of the links) He may have socially met those who do business with Hunter but not 'met' as in meeting to discuss business. That is the funny thing about English - they may have met in one sense, but not in the sense Biden meant when he said he didn't meet them.

However, when Joe Biden was Vice President, he appears to have had a foreign policy, diplomatic roles with China and Ukraine that really looks like to be much more assertive than what should be expected for a Vice President. I most definitely was, sir. In fact, I deployed twice to Iraq when I was still active duty in the Army. Hindsight is 20/20. Huge policy mistakes costed an untold amount of lives. Cheney and those in the Bush Administration should have been held accountable and responsible. Just like the Senators, Congressmen, and Congresswomen who voted in favor of the invasion of Iraq as well as the subsequent decades of involvement in Iraq should also be held accountable there.

He could have forgotten who he met with and why - even though we know now that he interacted with many of his brother's and Hunter's business partners from China, Mexico, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia and some even in the US.

He may have been so out of touch that he didn't see the question coming or so not up to date with what the nation was talking about that he didn't sit down and hash out if he actually had interacted with them - before claiming that he didn't.

That is possible - yet that would mean that his defense against being a liar would be that he is mentally deficit or just incompetent.

Xi and the Governor of Hong Kong are one thing (part of his VP responsibilites) - what are the names of these business partners?

I mean - Biden did claim live on National Television - many times - that he had never met with Hunter's foreign business partners - so I don't know what you mean by there being no truth to the allegations.

What standards do you apply to determine what sources to trust?

I trust the House Committee investigating the Bidens. It included Freedom Caucus members who were so anxious to impeach him that if there had been the slightest proof they would have jumped on it.
But they couldn't find anything. They had to cancel the impeachment. A committee of rabid Biden haters had to cancel their impeachment because they had no evidence.
