They try but they always fail. Although sometimes it almost seems like a tie. There are paradoxes to deal with. For the most part there is overwelming agreement between science and the Bible. Satan always seems to come up with something though to try and deceive people the way he was able to deceive Eve.

The only voice I listen to is God. This is what Psalm 19 makes very clear: The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims His handiwork. So the most basic reason that God delights in His creation is that in creation He sees the reflection of His own glory, and He delights in his work.
Psalm 19 at least is truth.
Science does not contradict the Bible. If you have a contradiction then show me. You seem to think there are many contradictions. So it should be easy for you to at least come up with one. But then like you say, we do interpret the Bible different. This is where Gerald Schroeder shows us that science copies theology. We see this in the big bang that was a religious belief long before Science verified it was true. I had a dream about this when I was around 8 years old. God showed me the universe was expanding. So the Bible came first and science is able to verify that the Bible is accurate and true. Science gives a witness and a testimony for God. Because Science studies Creation or the Universe.

Of course He does in the Parable of the birds and the tree. We know now that a tree is a whole eco system onto itself. I have a big bush in the back yard.
