Perhaps most shockingly, the FBI team included a medic to tend to anyone “injured” during the raid. The operations order identified a nearby trauma center with directions how to get there:

Not a two-tiered system of justice?

It is.

Most people being raided by the feds probably wouldn’t have a medical team on standby provided by the very same police raiding their home.

Nope. Standard procedure.
Do you really think so considering that this is the very large Florida home of the 45th President of the United States?

Yes, of course. The authorization for law enforcement to use deadly force when carrying out a search warrant is always standard procedure. It doesn't make a difference if the property being searched is owned by a high profile personality or not.

You'd almost be certain that nothing untoward would occur. The operable word being 'almost'. It's the reason they have armed guards at the Capitol, even though I'm likewise almost certain nothing untoward would ever happen at the very seat of American democracy.

Oh, wait...

What is particularly telling is that the FBI decided to go in without the large letter identification on their shirts and jackets. It was a distinct possibility they would be engaging Secret Service agents.

The secret service was informed in advance about the search, so that wasn't going to be an issue.

A senior official briefed on Monday's events told ABC News that the Secret Service was notified by the FBI a short time before agents arrived that they would be coming. The Secret Service validated the search warrant and facilitated entry into the residence, in accordance with a court order, the official said. Secret Service agents were not involved in the search.

The decision to wear plain clothes was probably made to avoid causing unnecessary alarm for the members and guests who were visiting or staying at the resort at the time.

SAFETY needs to be the main priority, not how a guest might feel about it. Also the Secret Service is tasked to protecting the president, thus they needed to be able to tell the difference between an FBI agent and an intruder intent on attacking the president or his family. Not wearing overt identification might be needed when raiding a drug cartel headquarters that would be expected to open fire on law enforcement. Here it appears they wanted to increase the odds of violence.

Federal officers should always be ready to use force - lethal if necessary.

That's a laugh...your very first post is complaining that they had a medic - for safety's sake. If they didn't have one then you'd have complained that 'SAFETY needs to be the main priority!'
Also the Secret Service is tasked to protecting the president...
Guess it was lucky that he was in NY then. Bit of a lazy day for the SS. And we all know that if the Feds had been wandering around with the full FBI gear on then you'd have complained about that as well.

I guess Mr. Trump's very recent history of inciting violence made precautions advisable.
I'm sure all raids require such precautions - and PRESIDENT Trump didn't incite any violence

That will be for the 1/6 jury to decide if they are not prevented from doing so by two ethically and morally compromised Supreme Court justices.

He was acquitted of the charge of insurrection, and we are all presumed innocent until proven guilty.

You accuse these Justices of being compromised while you deny President Trump his right to due process?

He was acquitted of the charge of insurrection already and we are all presumed innocent until proven guilty.

You believe that the Justices are compromised while you are unwilling to refer to PRESIDENT Trump by his proper title?
Mr. Trump is a private citizen.

He has never been tried for insurrection. In the impeachment trial 58% of senators voted for impeachment but 66% was needed.

He has, however, been found to have operated a fraudulent university and bilking students; committing tax fraud in the amount of $500 million; and sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll in a department store dressing room.

With each new courtroom loss, I see the clear vision of enlightenment dawning in American hearts.

If you don't think having an upside down flag on your driveway or a wife giving aid and advice to indurrectionists in your living room is ethically compromising, you need to learn more about ethics.

Nothing in this article seems out-of-character for a large-scale FBI raid. There are many ways for people to be injured in such a situation, most of which have nothing to do with firearms or violence. People can trip and fall, have objects fall on them, wrench their back by lifting heavy boxes improperly, slam a door on their fingers, have a sudden heart attack, be injured by fragments from a lock shattering under bolt cutters, etc. The operations order, like any plan, should always include procedures for emergencies, even if you don't expect them to happen.

And I'm fairly certain that FBI agents are always authorized to use deadly force when on duty, always armed with their standard-issue firearm, and generally carry handcuffs if they're executing a raid.

This is just another case of sensationalizing business as usual.
