He gave me His free gift of Eternal Life and has help handle and be more aware of the many lies ( satan's deceptions and man's) that make up this age. Jesus through The Holy Spirit has brought into my learning quite a few excellent Biblical teachers. That includes to be aware of many false teachings, that abound in denominations and groups.

Jesus has also helped me to avoid being caught up into the trap of excessive worldliness and materialism.

What has Jesus done for you in your life?
What has changed for you... whether internally to you, or outside of you.. what is different?
What He has done for humanity is what He has done for me. I now do for Him. Blessings.

He has redeemed me, adopted me, and clothed me in His righteousness. And He has given me joy, peace, hope, freedom, and works in my heart a growing love for God and for those around me through His Word. This is the love and grace of the Lord which He freely bestows on all who call on His name!

He has watched over me since I was child. He has turned my idiotic choices of life into growth and blessings. He has given me an unlikely family that I thought I could never have nor deserve. He has forced me away from path to death back to path to heaven. He has been a loving father working behind scenes. All I am missing is to meet Him and hear His voice with my ears.

The impact of Jesus in my life is profound and multi-faceted. His teachings have not merely shaped my worldview; they've become the very foundation upon which I build my existence. One of the most transformative aspects has been the concept of love and compassion. Through the lens of Jesus' teachings, I've come to understand love as an active force, a choice that transcends circumstances. It has reshaped how I perceive others, fostering empathy and a genuine desire to contribute positively to their lives.

The notion of forgiveness, central to Jesus' message, has been a source of both challenge and liberation. Learning to forgive, as I believe Jesus exemplified, has been a journey of self-discovery and healing. It's a continual process of letting go of resentment and embracing the freedom that comes with releasing the burdens of anger and judgment.

Moreover, the teachings of Jesus have been a guiding light in navigating life's complexities. His parables and wisdom offer timeless insights into human nature, relationships, and the pursuit of a meaningful existence. In times of confusion or difficulty, turning to these teachings provides clarity and a moral compass.

On a personal level, the transformative power of faith in Jesus has been a source of strength during trials. The assurance that there is a higher purpose and a divine plan, even in the midst of adversity, brings comfort and resilience. The teachings of Jesus have been a source of solace during moments of grief, reminding me of the hope beyond the immediate challenges.

The Faithful Exchange" podcast, it's born out of a deep appreciation for the transformative impact of faith. This platform is not just about discussing theological doctrines but delving into the lived experiences of individuals whose lives have been touched by faith. It's a space where we explore the intersection of spirituality and everyday life, acknowledging the challenges, celebrating the victories, and fostering a sense of community among fellow seekers.

Jesus has lifted me up from an existence based on fear and limitations, and helped me to experience bliss and true Love. He is showing me He keeps His promises, and that alone is already very exciting. Jesus is there for me to help me deal with any seeming problem I encounter, no matter how big or small. And He demonstrates this every day, so this is not just a belief for me, but an experience. I encourage everyone to open up for having a personal relationship with Jesus. Hallelujah!

What has Jesus done for you in your life?
What has changed for you... whether internally to you, or outside of you.. what is different?

Jesus gave me peace. The peace of knowing that my sins are forgiven & my eternity in heaven is secure by His finished work on the cross. I have had that peace for over 40 years. The peace I have is impossible to fully explain to anyone who has never experienced that peace for himself.
Jesus will give that peace to anyone who comes to him as a repentant sinner who needs a savior, trusting Him alone for forgiveness & for a new life.
Another change Jesus brought into my life is knowing within myself that I am a wicked sinner who deserves to spend eternity in hell; that there is no way I can make myself good enough to be accepted into the presence of a righteous God. Every day I thank Him for paying the penalty for my sin when he died on the cross, and I thank him for paying the penalty for the sins of my children, grandchildren, and parents. His finished work on the cross paid the penalty for our sin "in full." He did for us what we could not do for ourselves; because of his death on the cross we can have His righteousness. He took our sin and gave us His righteousness.
Jesus changed the way I treat other people; he changed me from being a selfish person to having a heart for helping others; he gave me a heart for reaching out to lost people with the hope of the Gospel message. Jesus gave me a grateful heart, so that I serve him out of a heart of gratefulness & thankfulness, not out of an attitude of duty.

The greatest change Jesus made in my life is that He brought me out of the darkness of unbelief into the light of the truth of the Gospel message, the message of the cross. Until that change is made in anyone's' life he/she will never understand the truth about Jesus/God.

There are many ways Jesus has changed me, and He continues to change me as I study His word, pray, fellowship with other Christians, and walk in His Spirit.

I have a question for you.

Do you believe in Jesus? The bible says in James 2:19 that demons believe in Jesus and tremble. IOW, demons know that Jesus is God.
The real question I have for you is "Do you believe Jesus?" Do you believe him in John 3:3 where he said "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. " Do you believe him in John 6:63 where he says "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." Do you believe him in John 14:6 where he says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me." Do you believe him in John 6:37 where he says, "All the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."

You cannot even begin to understand spiritual truths of God's Word unless you have been born again. You can ask 1000's of questions about the bible & about Jesus & God on this forum, but just as I was before I became a born-again believer in Jesus, so will you never understand because you are in spiritual darkness and are blinded to the truth.

1Corinthians 2:14, "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Much more could be said about the matter of the change Jesus will make in a person's life & about "believing" the Gospel, but not now.

Regards,

John

Jesus revealed what love that god is, so we know everyone who instead of believing in meek lowly, non self seeking love of the lord and saviour Jesus Christ which died for all, they backwards keep their lives, and do not lose their lives to find them again as Christ did.

Jesus has shown the way, to follow him, but goats just aren't sheep, neither are wolves in sheep's clothing.

Matthew 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 10:39
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 16:25
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

1 John 3:16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Jesus did this for all, which all need to confess or are denying, that Jesus gave his body and live to gather many bodies and much fruit, by not loving his life, but by hating it, as without falling into the ground and dying, there would be no fruit and life, if we hate our life we lay it down in the same life that Jesus brings, to bear much fruit, life for others, but if we show we only live for ourselves ant not others, because we love and appreciate the life we say Jesus Christ has given us, we lose it, because we deny that Christ loses his life so we find ours again.

John 1223 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

You ask if I believe in Jesus. Not in the way you do.
I think a guy called Jesus existed and did and said some powerful things. But I think there was a lot of hyperbole about him and after he died a cult formed and they wrote new scriptures describing things that never happened.
The basic message was of love, forgiveness and not judging..
... but the followers who came after him wrote exaggerated accounts. He was just a guy. That's the Jesus I believe existed. And there's nothing to tremble about.

Where do I begin?

Setting aside the cosmic/ontological/mysterious aspects of what Jesus has accomplished on my behalf in giving me standing before God, my life has completely changed because of Him.

I have become more ethically developed, as He has wounded my pride and made me realize that the world does not revolve around me. He has made me more sensitive to the needs of those around me, and my own inability to measure up in my own right. He has given me consolation, reminded me that I am loved beyond measure and do not have to earn that love. He has caused me to contemplate the universe in ways that go far beyond my tiny little world, and caused me to consider what impact even the smallest decision I make may have. By giving me the ability to recognize my sin, without condemning myself for it, he has set me free to live honestly. He has caused me to lose some of my fear, especially my fear of those who are not like me, and recognize the humanity and loveliness of the most unlovely people I know. In short, He has caused me to live life in a way that is flourishing not based on things like material success, prestige and accolades, or power over others but in harmony and connection with the people who walk through my life.

everybody sitting high will be low, do any of you remember the gospel..

Matthew 13:32
Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

Matthew 23.5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Matthew 23.11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Luke 9:48
And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

Luke 147 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.
8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Luke 20.46 Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
47 Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

this is your last chance to stop the pretence of the pharisees and scribes, and so called rabbis.

the least seed is Jesus Christ, who in this exalted world had to stay t he least, meek and lowly, until those same pretenders of pride killed him, but then he is exalted, the king of heaven and earth, you wont follow him at all unless you follow in the same way and show some understanding, even show you believe after you have been shown.

I wouldn't say it was foolishness. It is just a mixture of truth and cultic beliefs from people who came after Jesus. There were lots of ancient scriptures from the same era that were left out.. so the Bible has been curated to support a particular view of Jesus.
If you put all the mumbo jumbo theology aside, the character oh Jesus still comes through. He stood for love and compassion, self sacrifice and forgiveness.
There is nothing foolish about that.

There is nothing foolish about that.
The bible does support a particular view of Jesus. Not only did Jesus stand for compassion, self-sacrifice, and forgiveness, but that "view" of Jesus, that "mumbo jumbo" theology as you call it, presents to us the fact that Jesus was and is the eternal God who created the universe and everything in it. That particular view of Jesus found in the Word of God presents us with a set of facts about man & about God.

The facts are that we have a sin problem, there is a penalty for that sin problem, & God has a provision for that problem: We all owe God a debt; a sin debt, and God's word says that the penalty for that debt is death. That is a penalty we cannot pay. God's way to redeem us from that death penalty was to have someone who had never sinned pay that penalty for us, and since all humans are born into sin there was no one to pay that penalty, so God himself came into the world, as God the Son, Jesus, became a man, and since He was God and he could not sin, he was the only sinless human who could pay the penalty for us. I'm sure you have heard the story how Jesus, God, died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, and anyone who will believe that message, and come to him as a sinner who needs a savior trusting in his finished work on the cross for forgiveness & to receive a new regenerated, born-again life in him will not only be forgiven, but will be transformed into a new person with a new heart as the Holy Spirit moves into that person's heart. That is the simplicity of the Gospel message.

God gives all of us the choice to decide our eternity. We can choose to believe his Word, admit our need to him, and accept his provision, the Gospel, and spend eternity with Him, or we can choose to reject his Word, remain in unbelief, and spend eternity in the place prepared for the devil and his followers, hell.

We don't need any other writings to convince us that the message presented to us in the bible is true. There is enough truth there that the Holy Spirit can use to convince us of our need and of God's provision for that need.

I was a hard case skeptic. I grew up in a Baptist church where I heard about sin, Jesus, & hell all of my childhood. But, for some reason it did not mean anything to me. I wasn't sure that God even existed or that the Bible as true. Later in my upper teenage years I stopped going to church and forgot about the whole matter of God & Jesus. My journey to Christ is a lengthy one & I won't bore you by repeating all of here, but I will just say as a young adult I became concerned that I might be wrong in my unbelief. I tried to make myself believe in God & in Jesus. I would pray to God, telling Him that I believed in Jesus, while at the same time doubting that God even existed, and of course nothing changed. I finally gave up on trying to convince myself to believe in God, and I began an earnest search for the truth about the bible, about God, & about Jesus. I did not know what I would find in my search, but I was willing to accept whatever it would be if I was convinced that it was the truth. After several years of talking to people, reading books, etc. my search led me to the Book of John, the Gospel of John, and there is where the Holy Spirit convinced me that the bible is the truth, that God is real, and that Jesus took care of my sin problem when he died on the cross. I became a born-again believer in the gospel message. IOW, I made a choice; a choice to find the truth & to act on whatever I found that truth to be.

When I read your posts, I think to myself "is this guy really looking for the truth?" or "is this guy trying to convince himself that he is in no danger of a fearful future by rejecting the truth of the Bible?" or " is this guy afraid to know the truth because if he is convinced that the bible is true & that he is a sinner who needs the forgiveness only Jesus can provide, then he would have to admit his sinfulness & his need of forgiveness to God?" Do you have an answer?

I do not intend to offend you. My hope is that you will consider the consequences of your choice if you are wrong about the truth of the Bible.

Regards,

John

Regards,

John
You don't offend me... it's simply that you see the issue through a Christian lens, whereas I don't.
You have your truth and I have mine. You understand things from a Christian point of view.. but I look at things in a different way.
