That's not an argument against regulating guns.

They're heavily regulated already. If you don't think so, try sawing a shotgun barrel down to less than 18", or have a homemade suppressor, or have a rifle with a shorter than 16" barrel, or try to buy a gun as a felon, or carry one in a "gun free zone" (unless you're a mass shooter).

If Al-Quada, Hamas, Al Shabob, BLM or some other terrorist group decides it's time to do something in your country like they've done in Israel, it would be great comfort to them that your guns have to be stored in an approved safe and the ammuntion stored separately, and that few people who can legally own a handgun.
Better to make them uncomfortable even trying to do that sort of thing again.

Some of my Christian friends and family ride and shoot in ACMSA, we are planning on going on the 17th to see them all in the local event. It is always a great family time together.

Sport is good. So we can ask if people want to ban guns why not ban bats knives, swords, axes. They also can be abused to intentionally harm others.

I think I would answer that only guns have the potential to produce mass casualties.

Actually they are not fires bombs, and autos can also result in mass casualties in fact all of those can be more effective than guns as there is no need to reload. Are they common means no, but are they means that can prove as effective if not more so than firearms yes.

also sometimes verbal is not enough sometimes violence is the only thing that will work. I know quite a few people who own guns this is the rural south. I also know a number of people who I know to carry gums. None of those people do I believe would want to be violet towards anyone, and yet they will use that firearm in their defense or defense of others if that is what it takes.

It’s nice to know you have honorable criminals that only prey on other criminals with guns. Maybe our criminals in the USA could learn from your honorable criminals to be more considerate and not search out gun free zones and helpless unarmed citizens.

My honest opinion is that silly women and weak men want others to be disarmed because they live in a fantasy world where everyone is holding hands and singing peace songs in some hippy field. They don't want to increase their standards so are happy for everyone to reduce their own.

This fantasy world is why so much of society is derailing. Ideas, thoughts and feelings about what could be, should be, would be prevail over reality. It's like John Lennon's hypocritical, 'Imagine' song is stuck on loop in these individuals minds.

I don't believe Jesus condones living in a fantasy world and he's given us the ways and means to be logical about self preservation.

We need to start caring about each other, stop the dehumanizing hostile arguments, and learn to resolve our differences and frustration without violence. Until we can do that, the best gun wins.

We have a society, a world where tension and hostility are escalated rather than de-escalated. A world where sick loners are left to feed their own illness with the help of the internet. We need to start caring about each other, stop the dehumanizing hostile arguments, and learn to resolve our differences and frustration without violence. Until we can do that, the best gun wins.

What I mean is probably similar to what you mean in that there is a societal sickness where men who are weak and feminized are praised for giving up the physical leadership of their home to the government or women or other weak men who are not capable, in the same ways, as strong, confident, physically and mentally fit men.

I will not champion weak willed, physically weak, effeminate men in the name of 'Christianity' and 'peace'. It's a fantasy and it's a dangerous one.

Men need to know it's their Christian duty to defend their family and home when called upon to do so and not be told by 'Christians' that this is not of God. I find women love to be so pacifist that they would make their men impotent and pretend to live on self-righteous virtue alone. Yet, when danger calls, do they scream, beg, plead, look for a heavy object to bludgeon attackers with or submit with throats on display and pray while their men and children are taken from them?

Life is not fairy tales and roses and if we teach our kids that it is, then we will lose our religion and our lives.

Self defense isn't violence.

I'm not going to sit around and pray while the mentally ill and/or evil try to take my life and tell myself that it's a Christian thing to do. If a throat punch disables someone who is trying to hurt me or mine, then God will forgive me but I don't think there would be anything to forgive. Rather, after the poor psycho is put to an end, I will be Christian about it and pray for them because they clearly needed prayer before and after death.

In total agreement with the post regarding Jesus sending His apostles further out among the population. He knew that this would expose them in ways they had previously not been forced to deal with. God also allows for us to defend ourselves and our families. In Biblical times, the Sword would certainly have been sufficient. However, today we live in a Firearm society. So owning Firearms to defend ones self and our home is pretty much a necessity.
Those who would deny the citizens of Any nation the God Given Ability to defend their families have Only Evil Plans in store for their people. These governments are Socialist; or Communist in nature and they seek to control every aspect of what their people think and do. They seek to deny your Freedom of Speech and your Freedom to Practice your Religion. In particular, Christianity. Christianity is Typically the most Persecuted Religion in the World, alongside Judaism. This is because both of these two religions worship The One True God. The Creator of All Life.
Firearms are Not inherently bad. It is the person using the firearm, regardless of the type, that is the problem. That Kills.

@ Akita Suggagaki would you have an issue if a person PERSONALLY used a firearm to protect you in a particular moment? I am not talking about the military using them overseas to protect your interests, nor a police officer or even a civilian using one in your town to protect you. I am talking about a situation where YOU PERSONALLY are in a dangerous life threatening situation and someone in the area uses a firearm to protect you in that moment. Would you be angry if that happened to your family when you were not around? say they were out shopping or something and you for whatever reason were not there and you later found out that someone used a firearm to protect them from a dangerous situation.
