  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

That's a possibility. Played old versions w/ family.

Also, Nintendo Online has a lot of classic Nintendo games already to play. From the original Gameboy to the Nintendo 64. Best part, once you download the app all the games are automatically downloaded too. Since they're older they don't take much GB room either. Sega Genesis is on there too. As far as games, I do recommend you try Earth Bound on the SNES app.

My laptop just hit the "if you unplug me, I will abruptly turn off" phase of life. Came a lot later compared to other laptops, but I think it's time to replace this thing. Had it since the beginning of 2018.

It sounds like it has a bad battery, assuming you use it with the battery in.

I have an old laptop from 2009 that I use for older games. I removed the battery because I wasn't sure if it was still good or not. Besides, I always have the thing plugged in anyway, so it made no sense to keep the battery in it.

Yeah, it's a bad battery. I rarely use it unplugged, but I take this as a sign that it's time to replace it. Also, the battery is built into the laptop, and it'd be a pain to get a new one. The laptop is showing it's age in other ways too.

I’m trying to eat less. Not b/c no appetite & not b/c I’m depressed. But b/c it’s a way of humbling myself. It’s easy to be selfish always eating what you want & when you want it.

God probably trying to pull you closer.

I'm trying, I really am!

Great choice. It's my favorite gaming console. I play it a lot more than my PS5.

I'd highly recommend getting Animal Crossing, especially if you like Stardew Valley.
My nephew loves the nintendo switch. My brother has one but I've never used it.

I’ve decided I’m going to get Nintendo Switch. I’d rather not, b/c I find video games distracting, but my friend really wants me to get one so we can play Pokemon on it together. Not sure how much I'll play it, but whatever.

If you're not sure you'll use it much, is it really wise to put out all that money for one?

Why do laptop manufacturers make it so hard to disable the tap to click? I get that it's a feature that a lot of people find convenient, but there are legitimate reasons for not wanting to have it turned on. It's ridiculous that every time I get a new laptop I have to go hunting for drivers to download so that I can change the settings.

Somehow got caught watching wedding videos last night –> that makes you depressed as heck.

My laptop shuts off everytime it goes into sleep mode. Have played around in settings but doesn’t help. S/ definitely get a replacement but I’m stubborn.

It's called making a sacrifice.

Have you ever met a ‘Jesus freak’? The kind of person that will talk to you about Jesus even tho they just met you?

How you strive to be like them! What an honor. Theirs's is the kingdom.

Switch has a lot of good games. If you're friend already has a Switch you could probably borrow some of theirs to see what you like. Definitely try Luigi's Mansion 3 and Kirby and The Forgotten Land if they have it.

I've met one woman, but she told me I was going to hell for being Catholic. What a pity.

Staycation ends today. Sad... but at least it's a short week until the weekend.
I hope you have a great time at work though! Wish I was working :)
