Tucker Carlson admits he lies on his show: ‘I really try not to... [but] I certainly do’

No one is assassinating an admitted lair. Tucker Carlson is a political commentator and host of the Fox News show. While he has expressed his opinions on climate change, his views are not widely regarded as credible by the scientific community.

Simple challenge: List the facts you believe your hero is presenting and back them up with scientific evidence.

You have your head in stand. Saying climate change is a cult is a baseless and unfounded claim that lacks evidence and contradicts the overwhelming consensus among scientists and experts worldwide.

Making baseless claims and labeling climate change as a "cult" only serves to discredit the seriousness of the issue and hinder progress towards finding solutions.

Cult of Climate Deniers.

You are late to the game, everything you claimed has been dismissed over and over and over. What is stated w/o evidence is dismissed w/o evidence.
You’re not even in the game. Have you got a comment on the actual videos content? Everything else you say about me , Tucker or the video is irrelevant.

You have told several times
1. why would anyone trust a self-admitted liar?
2. if you have evidence for what your hero is claiming then present it. That w/o evidence is dismissed w/o evidence.
3. you have not provided any convincing or coherent arguments to support the denial of climate change.

You continue to display your total inability to to support Tuck's denial claims. What is even more laughable is adherence that others respond to a self-admitted liar for a news station whose claim to fame is promoting false and misleading information.

In post #140 I poated a video of Tucker Carlson speaking on the "cult of Climate Change" so far I have counted 14 posts that impune either Tucker or myself. NOT ONE addressed, refuted ,commented, disagreed or agreed with anything said in the video. That would be because if anyone actually watched it which I doubt they had no real facts to dispute what was actually said.

It is much easier for the left to do character assassination and move on. My knowledge, believability and character is berated for a video which so far no one can or has refuted. With all of this self proclaim intelligence on this thread someone should at least be willing or able to actually watch the video and point by point refute it with facts but that would take effort.

Climate change is a cult as proved by the actions of many of its prophets. I stand by the video until someone has something of substance to say on actually what is in the video.
I did watch the video as a curiosity value as I’m not familiar with Tucker Carlson and wasted nearly 14 minutes of my life watching this self opinionated garbage.
Amongst other things Tucker is not the sharpest tool in the shed by equating climate science with religion; climate science is evidence based, religion is faith based.

A simple procedure in refuting this rubbish is to provide a single counterexample.
This was done by the video in post #191 where evidence of rising sea level, in this case 6-8mm/yr based on a 10 year moving average, has manifested in the flooding of low lying islands in the Torres Strait leading to the progressive destruction of the environment and the possible displacement of the islander inhabitants.

This destroys Tucker Carlson’s and his gullible minion’s nonsense the climate science is a cult because there is no physical evidence of a climate crisis.
Simply ignoring post #191 in the hope it will go away doesn’t help your cause.
If you still believe climate change is a scam and a cult, the burden of proof is on you to show how the Torres Strait Islanders concocted a hoax which fooled the Australian government which incidentally at the time had a large percentage of climate change deniers in its ranks and the United Nations (post #192).

It’s over to you.

"what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."

Tucker doesn't have evidence for the "cult of Climate Change" charge, because it's built on nonsense. People have repeatedly pointed out the scientific evidence for the facts about human actions causing the climate to change... but Tucker's feelings about the implications and the identities of people who disagree with him are more important to him than the facts.

Given that Tucker is not in fact presenting evidence, it seems you are merely presenting him as an authority... in that context people pointing out the ways in which he is unreliable is exactly on topic.
On the other side of things, there is the cult of Tucker whom feeds off of his harmful miss-information.

If you can list the claims in the video we will see about supporting them if not that shows you just verify my post #195.

Since you claim to have watched the video you are a step ahead of everyone else on this forum. That said if you really did watch it you missed the main theme.

Here is one fun fact from Tucker refute if you can. There has been NO increase in frequency or intensity of hurricanes since 1900.
!900- 1950 42 major 3-4 or 5. 1950 - 2004 31 major 3, 4 or 5 cat. You would never know that from the prophets of doom.

I am surprised that your hero rightfully included the increase in major hurricanes but what he ignores is the overwhelming amount of scientific evidence that the frequency and intensity over time such as global warming is causing the increase in the frequency and intensity of hurricanes. It is the warmer ocean temperatures, which are a result of climate change, that provide the energy that fuels hurricanes, making them stronger and more frequent. Category 4 and 5 hurricanes, are the most destructive and dangerous hurricanes. For example, Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and Hurricane Dorian in 2019 were both Category 5 hurricanes that caused extensive damage and loss of life. Furthermore, the areas affected by hurricanes have also expanded. These trends are consistent with what has been predicted as a result of global warming.

Therefore, the statement that there has been no increase in the frequency or intensity of hurricanes since 1900 ignores the overwhelming scientific evidence that supports the opposite conclusion.

Why do expect others to do your work especially when your hero cannot support his own denial.

Carlson must be a moron to think he can use a selected region of the US and use this as a global case to refute climate change.
Taking a larger surface area of the planet such as the North Atlantic ocean paints a very different picture.

Atlantic.png

There have been over 70 category 4 and 5 hurricanes since 1980 and the 20 year moving average has doubled since 2000.

The intensity, frequency, and duration of North Atlantic hurricanes, as well as the frequency of the strongest hurricanes, have all increased since the early 1980s. Hurricane intensity and rainfall are projected to increase as the climate continues to warm.

Now that we have this diversion out of the way answer my question which you avoided.
How did the Torres Strait Islanders concoct a hoax which fooled the Australian government and the United Nations into thinking there is a climate crisis affecting their islands?
