But what have you done ?
What anyone does is up to them. I have no need to say "hey, look at me."
If you have not done what you are preaching you have no right or grounds to call me out for not believing the cultish nonsense.
Sorry that I come across as preaching.I am simply taking you at your word and calling you out for spreading disinformation. It is the disinformation that I take issue with.

Actually you showed you are not interested in truth on this topic because the video stands or falls on the content not your option of Tucker.
You have not provided any truth than non-deniers agree with.
1. The title of the video falsely claims there is a climate cult.
2. Your hero's emails document that he was spreading falsehoods to his audience so why should anyone place any trust in either him or you.
Your going to Tucker Carlson for authority on the climate?!?
Is this a joke or something?
If that's truly your go to for truth, you have lost all credibility!
I am in 100% agreement with @dlamberth.
A intelligent or knowledgeable person would actually weigh the merit of what was said.
The only thing you have presented thus far is climate denial w/o evidence or support which I find entertaining and an opportunity to comment on the disinformation. If you believe your comments have merit then provide the evidence in order to convince others.

Challenge: If climate change is the dire desaster claimed by many why are not posters here telling of all they are doing to combat what they believe is destroying mankind. Maybe we can have pledges to trade cars for bicycles. turn off the lights, eat bugs, give up current lifestyles for greener ones. After all believing in something so vehemently should produce some kind of major lifestyle correction.

I am reminded of a recent gathering of millionaires who support the rich paying more in taxes, when they were ask to pledge sending a check to the IRS they ALL declined.

Come on guys if you believe this stuff with all of your being lets hear of the personal sacrifice you are making to save humanity.
Are you not aware of the term reducing one's carbon footprint?
Living in rural Australia I have far more scope than a suburban or city living individual.
Apart from the usual countermeasures of turning off the lights, using energy saving lightbulbs, reducing electric water heater thermostat temperatures, replacing white goods and TVs with better energy ratings etc, I can do more on the land.

This involves fencing off 3 acres of my 10 acre property for sheep grazing.
The remaining 7 acres is used for tree plantations of Acacia's, both local and African species, and conifers.
I also allow the natural propagation of trees such as Eucalyptus and Sheoaks.
All in all there about 350 trees in total.
Then there are my legal and social responsibilities of land clearing to make the environment safer in the ever increasing fire season caused by climate change.

Long term is to go to solar panels once solar battery storage systems become cheaper.

One of Australia's less desirable exports was releasing Rupert on the rest of the world.
The Murdoch press in Australia has been reported frequently for their misinformation campaign on climate change.
Their defense has always been their commentators are making opinion pieces which may not be factual.

Isn't your Tucker Carlson in the category of a contrarian making opinion pieces?
It amazes me that individuals who clearly can't think for themselves hang on his very words and others, blissfully unaware of the distinction between opinion and fact.
It explains the nonsense expounded in this thread that climate change mitigation will end civilization as we know it.

Well now I guess now you are an official prophet of doom. Thanks for showing you "official" credentials.
I'll wear this term as a badge of honour along with being labelled a satanist by an individual of similar attitude like yourself.

True. And who was saying it. So read this: https://www.npr.org/2020/09/29/9177...s-tucker-carlson-tells-you-so-say-fox-s-lawye

U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil's opinion, leaning heavily on the arguments of Fox's lawyers: The "'general tenor' of the show should then inform a viewer that [Carlson] is not 'stating actual facts' about the topics he discusses and is instead engaging in 'exaggeration' and 'non-literal commentary.' "

She wrote: "Fox persuasively argues, that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer 'arrive with an appropriate amount of skepticism about the statements he makes".

That's right. The lawyers for his own network are telling you that he is not to be trusted. You are being told by people acting on his behalf that he doesn't deal in facts.

And he is your go-to guy for the truth? It should be funny. But it isn't.

l posted this video in another forum but it is appropriate here.

Do you think the inhabitants are experiencing a climate change disaster or engaging in "cultish nonsense".
The Torres Strait Islanders won their claim which could be a landmark decision.

So you admit to knowledge of accepted (so called) science but not how governments use this (so called) crisis for monetary gain!
Always nice to see So's Law being validated.

People pointing out "So's Law" on this forum has changed the way I write. For the better I think.

In post #140 I poated a video of Tucker Carlson speaking on the "cult of Climate Change" so far I have counted 14 posts that impune either Tucker or myself. NOT ONE addressed, refuted ,commented, disagreed or agreed with anything said in the video. That would be because if anyone actually watched it which I doubt they had no real facts to dispute what was actually said.

It is much easier for the left to do character assassination and move on. My knowledge, believability and character is berated for a video which so far no one can or has refuted. With all of this self proclaim intelligence on this thread someone should at least be willing or able to actually watch the video and point by point refute it with facts but that would take effort.

Climate change is a cult as proved by the actions of many of its prophets. I stand by the video until someone has something of substance to say on actually what is in the video.

"what can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence."

Tucker doesn't have evidence for the "cult of Climate Change" charge, because it's built on nonsense. People have repeatedly pointed out the scientific evidence for the facts about human actions causing the climate to change... but Tucker's feelings about the implications and the identities of people who disagree with him are more important to him than the facts.

Given that Tucker is not in fact presenting evidence, it seems you are merely presenting him as an authority... in that context people pointing out the ways in which he is unreliable is exactly on topic.

Tucker Carlson admits he lies on his show: ‘I really try not to... [but] I certainly do’

No one is assassinating an admitted lair. Tucker Carlson is a political commentator and host of the Fox News show. While he has expressed his opinions on climate change, his views are not widely regarded as credible by the scientific community.

My knowledge, believability and character is berated for a video which so far no one can or has refuted. With all of this self proclaim intelligence on this thread someone should at least be willing or able to actually watch the video and point by point refute it with facts but that would take effort.
Simple challenge: List the facts you believe your hero is presenting and back them up with scientific evidence.
Climate change is a cult as proved by the actions of many of its prophets.
You have your head in stand. Saying climate change is a cult is a baseless and unfounded claim that lacks evidence and contradicts the overwhelming consensus among scientists and experts worldwide.
I stand by the video until someone has something of substance to say on actually what is in the video.
Making baseless claims and labeling climate change as a "cult" only serves to discredit the seriousness of the issue and hinder progress towards finding solutions.

Cult of Climate Deniers.

You have an uninterrupted history of willy-nilly dismissing the overwhelming consensus of climate scientists.

According to a 2019 review of scientific papers, the consensus on the cause of climate change is at 100% and a 2021 study concluded that over 99% of scientific papers agree on the human cause of climate change1
