Actually it was based on the fog of war, and "reporting based on facts at the time" isn't "narrative. I find this complaint quite ironic given that the entire Conservisphere, despite being REALLY WORRIED ABOUT ACCURACY spread the "Paul Pelosi was involved in a gay lovers spat" for weeks after the event and many still claim that's actually what happened.

Hey I get it. I wouldn't want to try and defend the fact that Tucker admits in private he doesn't believe things he says on air. I'd try and toss out red herrings too. The problem is both of those men, owned up to and faced consequences for what they did. Tucker was instead rewarded by McCarthy would solo, unfettered access to security secrets of our national Capitol.

I searched for the transcript of his Monday show. I did not find it, but I did find this from the next day when he was talking about what they had presented and the pushback he had gotten:

The video shows Sicknick walking around the building, apparently in good health, after he was supposedly killed. We showed you that video. You can make of it what you will.

This is not what anyone in the "MSM" had been saying for a very long time. Tucker is just lying about what others have said about Sicknick's death. It is one of many blatant and obvious lies in that "editorial" comment from Tuesday. Many of them have been claimed in this thread.

This is more idle speculation. That thing widly reported as fact, stopped being so widely reported as soon as it was known that the fire extinguisher didn't hit Brian Sicknick, but another officer. That occurred when the the hurler of that extinguisher was arrested on JANUARY 14, 20[21] and the officer was named.

Almost certainly. Did some media people wrongly use the wrong version they'd heard earlier? Probably for a while. Any honest media source would update their files. Producers and editors take note to the feedback they get when they erroneously state a (false) fact.

(The Liz Chaney claim from Carlson seems to be a deliberate smear from him. She doesn't seem like the kind that would be sloppy with facts.)
