They already have a reason. Biden was caught with classified documents at a personal office and his personal residence.

It doesn't matter what the makeup of the Senate is. Impeachment is only the House. Now I agree Biden was never going to removed from office by the Senate, but that doesn't stop the House from impeaching them as many times as they want. Especially since Speaker McCarthy shows how willing he is to capitulate to the more radical part of his caucus, imo it was always just a matter of when and what justificaiton and not a if.

I don't see an option for my vote. Yes, he will be impeached because impeachment has become a political tool for besmirching one's opposing party. You did our guy, now we'll do your guy. As we have seen in US history, impeachment is not the same as conviction. In the impeachment process, the House acts as a grand jury and can vote for impeachment. Since the House is currently dominated by the GOP and impeachment only takes a majority, that's possible.

However, in the impeachment process, the Senate acts as the court. Once the House has voted for impeachment, the same as a grand jury returning a true bill, then a trial takes place. Since the Senate is controlled by the Democrats, then it's highly unlikely that Biden would be convicted.

I've worked with all levels of classification in the past and I can tell you, if someone found one TS document in my home, let alone piles of it, my security clearance would immediately be suspended and I would be behind bars regardless of whether it was an accident or not. Maybe you all don't understand just how critical classified info, especially Top Secret, is to national security so let me give you an idea. Type the names of you and your family, including addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, bank account info, social security numbers, your daily schedule, etc. and print off a few dozen sheets. Now staple them to all the telephone poles in your neighborhood. Should a person who does that be trusted to sit in the highest office of government?

Except that the Republicans were talking about impeaching Biden before the documents were found. So there is that. And, it's not just about Trump. It started with Clinton. Your guy, then my guy, then your guy again. When does it all end? It's political posturing, plain and simple.

The law has been broken regarding handling classified info. That info was unsecure and could have been seen by anyone, photocopied, posted to the internet, or anything. It's like someone stealing your car and running it in a demolition derby, then giving it back and expecting you to be fine with it.

Trump was president and could declassify the documents Biden at the time he had those documents for what some say 6 years? He could not declassify anything.
