The Bible is about one nation, Israel, but looking at Israels history is not going to tell us the age of the earth.
This is like looking at the history of America and going back to the Mayflower in 1620 instead of going back to the Native Americans who were living there at least 15,000 years ago". (Wicki)
And you say the earth is only 10,000 years old!
.
And you say that a 24 hour day is not defined by an evening and morning. How would that work out for you if somebody told you to meet you on the second day in the morning? You would think thousands of years or millions? Therein lies the problem with your starting point. You are trying to cram secular Science into the Bible where it does not belong. While the Bible does not give us the exact age of the Earth, it is reasonable to assume that it is 6,000 to 10,000 years old because of the genealogy of Jesus Christ through the line of Mary. Jesus refers back to the beginning with first man and woman in Genesis chapter 2. This is the same man and woman in Genesis 1. But again, you don't like that truth so you seek to change it. Good luck with believing that way. I would rather trust God's Word instead. If I read Genesis 1 like a child, I get no impression of the Earth being created over long periods or ages. It is denial of God's miraculous power. God created everything in six literal 24 days because He is God who is all powerful. God did not need any help in trying to do His work over a long period of time.
