The two men, Kyle Young and Albuquerque Head, as well as a third, Thomas Sibick, are accused of spearheading the assault on the then-officer, who was dragged away from a police line, beaten, and robbed of his badge and radio.

Kyle Young, 38, pleaded guilty Thursday in D.C. federal court to one count of assaulting a police officer, which carries a sentence of up to eight years in prison; prosecutors say the guidelines call for at least five.

Three others are charged with assaulting Fanone. Albuquerque Head, of Tennessee, is scheduled to plead guilty on Friday, according to court documents. Daniel Rodriguez, a conservative activist from Southern California, tearfully apologized for using a Taser on Fanone in an FBI interrogation but has since pleaded not guilty. And Thomas Sibick, 35, of Buffalo, is accused of stealing Fanone’s badge and radio; he has also pleaded not guilty.

Aaron Mostofsky, a New York judge's son, was sentenced today to 8 months in prison, 1 year of supervised release, 200 hours of community service, and $2000 in restitution. At the Capitol, "Mostofsky was carrying a walking stick and dressed in a furry costume. He told a friend that the costume expressed his belief that “even a caveman” would know that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Donald Trump."

"Mostofsky was one of the first rioters to enter the restricted area around the Capitol and among the first to breach the building itself, through the Senate Wing doors, according to prosecutors. He pushed against a police barrier that officers were trying to move and stole a Capitol Police bulletproof vest and riot shield, prosecutors said.

“Mostofsky cheered on other rioters as they clashed with police outside the Capitol building, even celebrating with a fist-bump to one of his fellow rioters,” prosecutors wrote in a court filing.

"Inside the building, Mostofsky followed rioters who chased Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman up a staircase toward the Senate chambers. He took the police vest and shield with him when he left the Capitol, about 20 minutes after entering."

J.R. Majewski, the Air Force veteran who won the GOP primary for Ohio's new 9th Congressional District, was a January 6 rally participant [but not a Capitol breacher] and has repeatedly shared pro-█████ material -- including a video showing him painting his lawn to say Trump 2020 with "█" replacing the zeros.

Before running for Congress, Majewski was best known as the Trump supporter who painted his front lawn into a 19,000-square-foot Trump 2020 sign. He later appeared in the MAGA rapper Forgiato Blow's song "████ ██ █████ Save America," by rapping one verse decrying "woke" politics after he launched his campaign.

He did more than attend the rally (the rally was at the Ellipse by the White House), he did breach the Capitol grounds restricted area (though he claims, like many, that he was either invited in or police did nothing as he walked by. He does not seem to be in the "entered the building" or commit acts of violence so he isn't going to get charged, but he could. (The 2000+ subjects, ~800 arrested so far, are already overwhelming the federal court in DC.)

A video timeline from inside the Capitol siege

To reconstruct the pandemonium inside the Capitol for the video above, The Washington Post examined text messages, photos and hundreds of videos, some of which were exclusively obtained. By synchronizing the footage and locating some of the camera angles within a digital 3-D model of the building, The Post was able to map the rioters’ movements and assess how close they came to lawmakers — in some cases feet apart or separated only by a handful of vastly outnumbered police officers.

Leaders Of Oath Keepers Hand Over Their Phones To FBI, Revealing Communications With Trump Allies Ahead Of Jan 6 Attack
Top leaders of the far-right extremist group the Oath Keepers, have reportedly been turning over phones and digital files and sitting for interviews with the FBI —and detailing how they worked and communicated with people in the former President’s orbit, CNN reports, citing court records and multiple sources familiar with the investigation.

Kellye SoRelle, a lawyer working with the Oath Keepers, [but not on criminal matters] told the news network that she has met with the FBI several times and handed over phones.

She also described various “pods” of people working on the “project to try to solve the mystery of the ballots.” She said there was the Republican National Committee pod, the “Back-Channel pod” of █████ followers, and the Campaign pod that included the “Giuliani pals,” an apparent reference to associates of Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

Not surprising for at least 5 years. All decent people who are conservative should just get out and form a new conservative party free of vile people. (Spoiler: they won't.)

An extended transcript of a GoToMeeting teleconference held by militia founder Stewart Rhodes on Nov. 9. 2020 — shortly after Trump’s election loss and in the buildup to the Jan. 6 insurrection — has been made public as an exhibit in federal court.

The document, details of which have not previously been reported, pulls back the curtain on the Oath Keepers’ internal communications, revealing that militia leaders spoke openly of using physical force to keep Trump in office, and suggesting the events of Jan. 6 could have turned out far bloodier than they did. The transcript also suggests that the most damning testimony in the government’s historic sedition case may be Rhodes’ own words, used against him in a court of law.

“Let’s go to D.C. together. I’ll be right there with you,” he says. “I want my bikers, I want my [doggone] street fighters, I want my brawlers.”
"You ready to go into D.C. and brawl…. wear yourself some knuckle gloves, wear a cup, wear a helmet, get ready to fight. If you’ve got stab-proof body armor, wear that, you know. "

"But that QRF will be awaiting the President’s orders. That’s our official position. And the reason why we have to do it that way is because that gives you legal coverage… We’re hoping he will give us the orders. We want him to declare an insurrection, and to call us up as the militia.… And if he does that, then D.C. gun laws won’t matter."

In his remarks, Rhodes demands secrecy from call participants and warns that the meeting could be monitored. He exhorts fellow militia members to stay disciplined, adding, ironically: “Don’t make it easy for them to pop you with a conspiracy charge.”

Anthime “Tim” Gionet, a far-right internet troll known as “Baked Alaska” who livestreamed inside the US Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection, torched his own plea hearing almost immediately after it began, proclaiming his innocence and prompting the judge to set a trial date instead.

... when US District Judge Emmet Sullivan kicked off the hearing by asking Gionet, “Why do you wish to plead guilty,” Gionet paused. He then said that he’d wanted to go to trial, but that the prosecutor had told him that he’d face felony charges if he did — a claim the government disputed — so he believed that taking the plea deal was the “better route.”

“I believe I’m innocent,” Gionet said.

(For now a trial date has been set, but he has 60 days to decide to accept the plea deal.)

[On Jan 6] He was recorded making comments like “We are in the Capitol Building, 1776 will commence again”; “Occupy the Capitol, let’s go. We ain’t leaving this [dog-lady]”; and, to a police officer, “You’re a [doggone] oathbreaker, you piece of [poo].”

Earlier this year, Gionet was sentenced to 30 days in jail after he was convicted of assaulting a bartender in Scottsdale, Arizona, in December 2020.

Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidate Kathy Barnette said she was bringing three buses of "[angry] patriots" for the January 6, 2021, "Stop the Steal" rally that preceded the US Capitol riot.

Calling it "our 1776 moment," Barnette promised those attending the rally would make their voices heard, according to previously unreported comments from the time reviewed by CNN's KFile. In another interview before the rally, Barnette said she helped bring three buses to Washington.

In a since-deleted tweet from the day before the Capitol riot, Barnette boasted of her upcoming attendance at the rally. "Democrats are Demons in Drag... They look like fellow Americans," she wrote. "But, those Democrats who believe the voices of MILLIONS of Americans should be forced, shamed & bullied into silence carry an agenda straight from the pit of hell. PERIOD #Resist #WildProtest #Jan6th #DCProtests."

[Her spokesman says she did not enter the Capitol.]

And yet, Donald endorsed Mehmet over his loyalist Kathy. I don't know who would be worse, a quack doctor or a Trumpian extremist....
