Technically, yes. Although I suspect your point reflects the assumption that the term "denomination" implies an extended heirarchical or leadership structure above the concregation level--which, srictly speaking, it does not. But "denomination" can also refer to a group of congregations with doctrine in common if nothing else.
I don't accept a lot of how academia views things; so I'm going to just consider us as not being a denomination.

I think it has more to do with theology than the arts and sciences.
LOL -- if you only knew where I think the arts & sciences get their influence today, you'd see how accurate your statement is!

This sounds a lot like that other weirdness that gets tossed about that it isn't a religion. It's as if being one religion of many or one denomination of Protestants among many diminishes them somehow.

I really don't get it. Even the link which @AV1611VET supplied literally says 'All baptists are protestants'.

That is a Protestant saying.

It's in the link which you supplied. The evidence which you have given us actually contradicts what you are telling us. I gave you that quote some time ago and you rejected it. Then you say 'check this website for the truth of the matter' and the site contains the exact same quote.

It is a quote from the Protestants.

Read the link.

Protestant quotes are on the left, and one of them is: ALL BAPTISTS ARE PROTESTANTS.

No -- all Baptists are not Protestants.

Especially the Independent Baptists, who are about as autonomous as you can get.

The quote is given a number of times. In the bulk of the article. It is quite specific. It could be considered the main point of the article. You tell me to read the link? I did. Where do you think I got the quote from? I would have linked to it myself. But you did it for me.

Yeah, they don't see the flaw in that logic.

I don't believe the Bible is wrong. But I don't believe that their interpretation of Genesis must be right for Christianity to be true. And I don't believe that God's existence or will depends upon an interpretation of Genesis matching up with how we understand the world today - God was there first, and he depends on nothing.
There are Christians who believe in evolution and there are those who don't. Salvation is not dependent on what you believe about creation. Many feel that evolution undermines the creation by God and must be refuted.

The subculture that includes those steeped in the arts & sciences.

The term for that is "educated," and it's a sad commentary on the state of the world if that's a "subculture."

The term for that is "educated,"
Academia: the arena of the educated.

The people and their products.

Books, graphs, charts, memos, schools, colleges, professors, tutors, so on and so forth.

The people: educated.
The products: education.

Granted, you chose only to list the tangible products -- odd for someone who allegedly believes in spiritual matters, nevertheless, "If you speak less nonsense, you would make more sense" ~Edwin A. Abbott.

The people: educated.
The products: education.
Now -- put them both together.

Educated + Education = Academia

But if you still can't understand, then just use the dictionary definition.

Oh, I've understood for a long time that you're against educated people and education in general...

...but it's fun to hear you say it out loud... that "academia" consists of actual people that you're against.
