This is obviously not definitive... but it's interesting that despite a common accusation that NASA is an atheistic or Satanic organisation, they chose to have a reading from the Book of Genesis transmitted from Apollo 8.

When floods occur they create continuous layers of devastation with sorting only by mass of the material churned up... they also destroy delicate or soluble land structures.

A flood higher than mountains would do this on a scale vaster than any tsunami.

We don't see that... we do see structures consistent with a much more ancient Earth with many, many separate smaller floods and events.



Eratosthenes and Cleomedes had demonstrated the scale of the Earth before that time and it was common knowledge in the Greek speaking world... including first century Israel.

Evidence has nothing to do with it.

I don't think this is correct. Please provide support for this. I'm sure at the time of the Messiah, people knew the earth is flat.

If by "the Messiah" you mean Jesus of Nazareth who is alleged to have lived in Roman Palestine in the first decades of what we now call the 1st Century, then absolutely it was well known in the Earth was *not* flat, but rather a spherical object of roughly the size we know it today.

Palestine was part of the Roman Empire (and world generally) where Greek was the language of government administration, literature, and learning. Being 250 years or so after Eratosthenes measured the radius of the Earth, that knowledge was widely spread at the time of Jesus. Eratosthenes was also the head of the Library of Alexandria, which according to at least one version of the story commissioned the most famous Greek version of the Jewish scripture -- the Septuagint.

Since all of the New Testament was written in Greek and anyone literate enough to write in Greek would have had contact with wide swaths of Greek learning, it is likely that the men who wrote and transcribed the first copies of the various books that ended up in the NT also knew the Earth was round.

Nah - that's just authentic moon footage & authentic training film badly cut together with ground footage of filming somewhere with faked commentary laid over. You can tell from the way they move and the way the regolith dust is kicked up. They had no way in the late '60s to simulate 1/6th g without complex harness rigs; slow-motion won't do it, and there wasn't the film editing technology to edit out harnesses, etc. Note also the complete difference in terrain and sky of the ground shots compared with the moon segments.

Evolution and creation actually goes hand-in-hand. The only differences are science leave God out of the picture and all life came from living organisms that fell to Earth from space and evolve into each and every species that walk the earth.
In the book of Genesis after God created the Earth 1) he told the Earth to bring forth plants
2) he told the sea to bring forth living creatures
3) he told the Earth to bring forth beast
4) Lastly he formed man and placed him here
In the theory of evolution whether they are speaking of abiogenesis or panspermia
1) plant life was 1st
2) sea life was 2nd and from that Sea Life came all the fish and creeping things
3) land animals were 3rd - some of those or one of those sea creatures left sea came on land - through the process of evolution which took millions of years (had to from
the way science explains it) they began to evolve into beast that lived on land
4) Lastly man evolved from a particular line of primate
Creation and evolution are in sequence with each other.
Seem like some non-believer would ask themselves the question how did the Hebrews 4000 years ago know the sequence of evolution - unless they were told by the one who created all things.
But instead non-believers try to disprove scripture siting the plants was created before the sun and moon not paying attention to on the first day God created light that light gave way to plants. Then later God created earth's own sun and moon. Then they will say the sun is older than the earth BUT

And when you think about it not only does the Bible speak of reproduction of plant and animals through seeds but it is a continual process - the majority of things upon this Earth reproduce through seeds; with the exception of a handful. The plant had to be first - oxygen and food supply. Marine life and creeping things could apply to food supply also - therefore second. Carnivores and herbivores the Earth is ready to support life then man

There are a LOT of errors there.
