In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Brother, the Sabbath commandment can be fulfilled by everyone keeping it together when it starts in the Promised Land. When God made "holy" His "rest" on the seventh day of creation, He separated the Sabbath from the week in the time zone of creation. Together, as when multinational corporations have an emergency meeting via video conference with their heads in many countries of the world at different local times for those in different time zones.

So the creation of the heavens and the earth and everything in them was completed. On the seventh day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all his work of creation. (Genesis 2:1-3 NLT)

So only in the promise land where the 7th day Sabbath commandment can be kept?

Where is the promise land?

God was with Joshua as He was with Moses Joshua 1:5-7 So if Joshua change the time of Sabbath Rest in the promise land, God would've spoke to Him.
Brother, it was God's intention to be with Joshua as He was with Moses, but what was different was Joshua. He was not "humble" like Moses in bringing all things to God. They made a wrong assumption without Joshua consulting God about it.

They said, “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t he spoken through us, too?” But the LORD heard them. (Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on earth.) (Numbers 12:2-3 NLT)
Can you show me where did Joshua change the time of the Sabbath Rest in the promise land? Thanks
The change is recorded, but not when it was made. Some time after Manna stopped, they changed the time from the seventh day of the week from morning-to-morning with Manna to the Sabbath from evening-to-evening since Joshua in the Promised Land.

Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. (Hebrews 4:8 NLT)

Brother, the current human tradition of Judaism enters God's "rest" only in the Promised Land and nowhere else. If you follow the tradition of Judaism here in the United States, you are not entering God's "rest" because the Sabbath taught by God in the Promised Land is separate from the week. I say the Promised Land and not Israel because LoveGodsWord pointed out that Israel represents the people of God and I mean a place on the Earth that God gave to Israel.

Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. (Hebrews 4:8 NLT)

So anyone who think they keep the 7th day Sabbath outside of the promise land (land in Israel) and does not follow Jewish tradition will not enter into Gods Rest?

So are you saying that anyone who think they keep the 7th day Sabbath outside of the promise land (land in Israel) does not enter into Gods Rest?
Brother, that is correct! To enter God's "rest" in the United States, we need to begin our Sabbath when it begins in the Promised Land. The Sabbath begins for everyone when it begins in Jerusalem. What I mean is that if you call Jerusalem on the phone and listen to the beginning of the Sabbath, it will also begin for you with theirs as it begins for them. United is the Sabbath around the world. We all experience the Sabbath together and it is not as our tradition makes us believe it is Sabbath for some and not for others around the world.

Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. (Hebrews 4:8 NLT)

Frankly I find your offering over complicated and confusing.

The Seventh Day of Creation continues perpetually otherwise how could Heb 3 and 4 offer rest 'today' to believers anywhere, any time.

It is His heavenly rest that is on offer to all who believe, anywhere, anytime.

Brother, Hebrews 3 and 4 speaks of a single "rest", God's rest on the seventh day of creation. Any other meaning given to the word "rest" is not God's message in Hebrews 3 and 4.

For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world. (Hebrews 4:3 NLT)

The announcement that God wants us to "believe" that Joshua heard, but it did him no good and now written for us, is the story of the seventh day with Manna that did not enter God's "rest" during the 40 years in the desert because by "oath" God made them keep the seventh day of the week as in Eden with Manna from morning to morning near the Promised Land when God had taught them to enter the Sabbath in the Promised Land at a different time from evening to evening which is not the seventh day of the week as entered in Eden from morning to morning. The translation above conditions that we "can", but are not entering God's "rest" on the seventh day of creation outside of the Promised Land since Joshua. The translation below where the name "Joshua" was mistaken as "Jesus" assumed that all who believe in Jesus do enter God's "rest" on the seventh day of creation. The translation below has given a false assurance of entering God's "rest" on the seventh day of creation outside of the Promised Land because it assumed that Joshua was Jesus in the message of Hebrews 3 and 4.

For if Jesus (Joshua) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (Hebrews 4:8 KJV)

Thank you Jorge, for sharing your understanding into God's Sabbath Rest...

What's your understanding of "another day" (Today) spoken by God apart from the 7th day Hebrews 4:8

You mean it's about the same 7thday of Rest from Eden?

So why did God call that day "Today"?

Joshua is not our source of Rest - Jesus is.
Brother, the message of Hebrews 3 and 4 refers to the "rest" of God on the seventh day of creation and not to any other rest used in other contexts. Even the New King James Version (NKJV) corrects this wrong identification, which is not possible in context, because Jesus was not before David; Joshua is the correct identification before David. The King James Bible is wrong here, it cannot be “Jesus”, because God could not have spoken “afterward”, of “another day” through David, placing "Jesus" before David or, as most other modern Bibles translate the name before David, "Joshua", who after Moses led "them" to the Promised Land before David.

God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it. For this good news—that God has prepared this rest—has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God. For only we who believe can enter his rest. As for the others, God said, “In my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest,’” even though this rest has been ready since he made the world. We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” But in the other passage God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.” So God’s rest is there for people to enter, but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God. So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.” Now if Joshua (not Jesus) had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall. (Hebrews 4:1-11 NLT)

The creator existed before Jesus, but the creator took human form as Jesus when the "right time" came. Jesus was not with us as Jesus before the "right time" came.

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. (Galatians 4:4 NLT)

So that means you get to invent whatever you want about it and say that Joshua was wrong about the Shabbat? You have said that he and the children of Israel didn't observe the Shabbat the right way because it isn't according to how you have decided it is supposed to be observed. And all this you got from one passage in the epistle to the Hebrews which you have misconstrued.

Joshua 24:31 KJV
31 And Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that overlived Joshua, and which had known all the works of the LORD, that he had done for Israel.

Judges 2:6-10 KJV
6 And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.
7 And the people served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of the LORD, that he did for Israel.
8 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.
9 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.
10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

Oops.....

The creator existed before Jesus

Sorry buddy that is not Biblical...

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind. 5 And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.

The Witness John the Baptist
6 A man came, one sent from God, and his name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.

9 This was the true Light that, coming into the world, enlightens every person. 10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through Him, and yet the world did not know Him. 11 He came to His own, and His own people did not accept Him. 12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God.

The Word Made Flesh
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John *testified about Him and called out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who is coming after me has proved to be my superior, because He existed before me.’” 16 For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him.

You have said that he and the children of Israel didn't observe the Shabbat the right way because it isn't according to how you have decided it is supposed to be observed.
Brother, they correctly observe the Sabbath in the Promised Land! What Hebrews 3 and 4 tells us is that they did not keep the correct Sabbath for 40 years in the desert with Manna by keeping the seventh day of the week near the Promised Land. The reason they keep the correct Sabbath in the Promised Land is because it is not the seventh day of the week as supposed, but falls in the Promised Land from evening to evening between two days of the week, established in creation from morning to morning.

And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest. We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” But in the other passage God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.” (Hebrews 3:16-4:1-5 NLT)
