You were looking at a protest that became a riot, where some broke windows, caused other damage, and got out of control.

What were they protesting?

'a protest that became a riot, where some broke windows'

And erected a gallows, and called out 'Hang Mike Pence'. Where America's highest representatives had to be taken to their place of safety. This is unprecedented in American history.

(They should have called in the British. When they 'protested' at the Capitol they burned the building down. Tourists! Don't you just love them?)

Well, I wasn't there. I'm sure they had various interests. But this is one thing I have heard mentioned several times when they are interviewed:

"The first 125 entries reported in the NYT data feed were basically reasonable. The results varied in percentage of votes between Presidential candidates and appeared to be random with most votes going to President Trump. Up through this time (11:03 Eastern), President Trump was leading 52% to Biden’s 46%. At this time 3.3 million of the eventual 4.4 million votes had already been cast or about 75% of the vote was in. This is when things went off the rails.

Eight entries totaling nearly (800,000) votes were removed from the database during this time. This makes no sense. Each vote should be added to the vote totals not taken away.

Overall three entries of over 300,000 votes were posted in the data base to Biden’s vote total. Two entries of over 300,000 votes were taken away. The same happened to President Trump’s totals but in much smaller amounts. Overall 851,000 votes were added to Biden’s totals and only 318,000 were awarded to President Trump between 11:14pm (Eastern) on November 3rd and 5:00am November 4th. This resulted in over half a million more votes net and 73% of the votes going to Biden during this time frame."

That's an interesting spin. President Biden never speaks to anyone unscripted, if he/handlers can help it.

This administration has learned from the mistakes from the last one -- his predecessor racked up more flagged tweets than electoral votes.

But if you don't know, then you don't know.

Maybe there was no coherent reason? Maybe just blind, impotent rage?

THE BIG QUESTION: Democrats Still Haven't Explained How HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Votes Were Dumped in Middle of Night for Joe Biden

My recollection is this has all been debunked. But just things I see that are flawed -- why are there no links to this "data" from the NY Times? Is there a reason I should trust them -- particularly when the charts they show (which do not appear to be from the NY Times) votes to two decimal places? For example, they claim the negative votes taken from Biden were 330,153.34; how is 1/3 of a vote being taken away -- particular since the vote total before it was 1,771,657.95 -- how were there 19/20ths of a vote?

Next, they show roughly 640,000 votes taken away from Biden and only about 120,000 votes taken away from Trump -- wouldn't the charge be that Trump/Republicans cheated since Biden was the one that lost so many votes?

But the biggest thing, why are they using NY Times data -- the NY Times merely reported the data they received and, as can often happen, mistakes may have been made when they received the data and, if they made mistakes, it didn't effect the official vote count. If this had really happened, they'd be showing the official vote count by the State of Virginia. The fact they use the NY Times data would imply that the NY Times made a mistake (if this "data" is honest and accurate) and corrected it when they realized their count did not agree with the official Virginia count.

The fact is, from everything I've seen, there were no errors in the "official" count in any state -- every time it has been pointed out they've pointed out corrections by news organizations, where that company made mistakes, I've not seen any "corrections" like that in the official count of any state.

Next, counts did not stop in the swing states -- they are flat out wrong (or lying) about that. Some precincts shut down. The "famous" alleged "shut down" that led to these claims was in Fulton County, GA; where people were told that they were going to shut down for the night, workers thought they were shutting down, but then they were told they needed to keep counting the vote.

As for Trump having an early lead -- this was predicted well before the election (this article is from Oct. 9, 2020, almost a month before the election) -- due to how the counts were required to occur by law. As a general rule, most of Pres. Trumps votes were made by people voting in person and most of the votes for Joe Biden were going to be "mail in" votes. In most states -- including the swing states -- the law says that mail in votes cannot be counted until after the polls close. As such, the in person votes, the strong Trump vote, were counted first (the machines basically counted them as they were cast during the day) and then they started processing the mail in votes later in the evening -- so Trump had an early lead which gradually went away, particularly as the votes from large urban areas (which tend to vote Democratic) were counted.

You were actually there?

Or you saw the same video we all saw?

I saw live coverage from various news organizations...including PBS Newshour who had reporters outside and inside the Capitol building.

Look, there's no need to continue with your gaslighting and deliberate denial of what happened that day.

I have heard all that too, many times. None of it has any evidential support.

These figures, however often they are repeated - hundreds of times over the last 15 months now - are still wrong.

"The last guy said stupid stuff" is not an appropriate response here. THIS President says stupid stuff and the handlers fear that, thereby limiting his interaction with the press and the public. Just last week this president called a reporter a "Stupid SOB" ON mike at the Presidential podium before the entire nation.

I watched the returns myself that night. The count certainly did stop in the middle of the night for a period of time and suddenly Biden was winning.

It is what it is, now. But it hasn't been debunked that there were certainly irregularities with the counting.

The important thing now is that someone competent and rational and logical is President in 2 years.

I saw all the same reporting as well as videos taken by those on the spot (Twitter).

Indeed, you have no need to continue gaslighting about what happened that day (a protest that became a riot for a segment, all wrapped up in 3-4 hours and the building cleared). Parties who committed criminal actions were arrested, mostly with misdemeanor charges, and some with more serious charges. The legal system will do its job. Time to move on.

Here is what you cut out so my sentence fragment makes no sense, standing alone:

Source that it has all been debunked.

Sorry, I'm not willing to go back and find it. Instead, my post debunks it, since I remember most of the information. Odd that you didn't try to address what I stated.

watched the returns myself that night. The count certainly did stop in the middle of the night for a period of time and suddenly Biden was winning.

Odd, I watched the returns most of the night, and they never stated the count stopped in the middle of the night. Instead, they showed video from places like Detroit, Philadelphia, etc, of the count continuing. I'll agree there were not constant updates coming in (minute by minute), instead -- as always occurs -- they count for an hour or so and then report the updates in a batch.

The only place, from the news sources (more than one) that I watched, that reported that counting was stopping was in Fulton County, GA. However, as I pointed out in my previous point, this was made in error, the workers thought they were going to quit for the night but then were instructed to keep counting.

If you watched the count during the night then, no, it was not "suddenly" Biden was winning. Instead, Trump's lead narrowed as counts came in overnight and, finally, one of the updates gave Biden enough votes to take a lead. However, both candidates continued to get votes as the night went on.

It is what it is, now. But it hasn't been debunked that there were certainly irregularities with the counting.

Actually it has. There have been various claims, such "votes were subtracted" -- but no one can show where official results in a state where subtracted, only where one particular media source (like the NY Times) made a mistake in their unofficial count and fixed the mistake -- but they can't show where other media sources made the same mistake.

I seem to recall other claims -- such as count coming in after "voting stopping for the night" but those are also debunked since counts did not stop.

The important thing now is that someone competent and rational and logical is President in 2 years.

Then one of the parties should nominate a rational and logical candidate.
