These next thoughts that I am going to put down here, began when I was listening to a sermon in what happened to Saul, and what changed in him from the time when he was the great Pharisee Saul, and when He became the Apostle Paul...
But this change should be the change in all of us, etc....
Before he changed, he trusted in his own goodness, and in his ability to be "good" and/or by keeping "the law", etc, but when he, and when you and me, see Christ as we should, then it should totally and completely destroy all faith that we previously had in our own "goodness", etc...
How far do you think you would go for "love", etc...?
Would you; or can you even, go as far as Jesus did, etc...?
Because if any of you answers that with any other word than a big fat "no", then you are lying to a very much excessive and exceedingly great degree, etc...
Jesus showed us how far he would could/would/can and did go, etc, and it is much more than any of us are even capable of, etc...
And he did this, for all of us, etc, even the very worst of us, etc, and he even refused to call himself even "good" even, in so doing, etc...
Seeing this and fully realizing this, is the only true beginning, etc...
And those who still have not or do not see this still, etc, and/or maybe have forgotten it, etc, need to go back to it, and make sure they never, ever, forget it, ever again, etc, for it is the Love of the Father, etc, and we do not measure up, etc...
And that is the bitter pill many of us do not swallow, our not measuring up to it, etc, but it is the pill you must take in order to even really even truly begin in the real true faith, etc...
Because it precisely this starting point that helps you to get all else correct, and/or teach and/or preach "it" correctly, etc...
The gospel really is summed up in John 3:16, but without this understanding that I am sharing with you right now, you will not truly "get it" or feel the full effect of it, which is required, etc...
So, what is my point in all of this? Well, maybe it's just to always remember it, and not forget it, and always let it put into perspective for you your own "goodness" the next time your are tempted to trust in that/it, etc...
For these people have forgotten the very basic principles and teachings of Jesus Christ, etc, and you should not be listening to anything at all they have to say until "this" is put back into perspective again for them, etc...
And in fact, you should probably be rebuking them, etc...
Comments are most welcome...
God Bless!
