Can you point out the place in the federal criminal code outlining the crime of "insurrection". (I know of "seditious conspiracy", but I'm not sure "insurrection" is a specific crime.)

Additionally, do you know the requirements for something to be charged as "treason"? (It is literally the only crime whose definition is explicitly detailed and restricted in the Constitution.)

Have you seen the limitations being placed onto voting in the last few years? Gerrymandering? Leaving low income high minority districts with SEVERELY limited voting resources and polling stations.

First of all the Government of Jamaica created the access to information law, which gives "di media" and all Jamaicans the right to request certain information from the Government. So access to information is not some alien concept that only applies to media workers.

You must be either slow or are just being plain ridiculous. Journalists are not public officers and are not being paid out of taxpayers' money and therefore have no obligation to be "disciplined" in the public sphere. There is a reason media houses have attorneys and media managers who work out any such issues having to do with erroneous information, in-house, among all the parties involved.

Then why is everyone claiming insurrection when there is no such crime? If it is so heinous of a crime then people should be charged with something beside breaking and entering.

Oh good grief. Let's go over this again shall we so we are in the same page?

The claim is there is an erosion of democracy. I said there isn't. And the reasoning is simple. The election took place and AFTER the riot Biden was still made president. The republicans made gains in the Senate and the Democrats remained in power of the House. Democracy or our Republic still stands and Biden is president. That's what the conversation is about. It's not that "nothing happened" on Jan 6. Of course something hing happened. There was a riot. I think we can all agree on that. And we can all agree on the fact the riot was a bad thing and all those involved should be prosecuted. Okay.
