Getting to know the real person making a decision . . . this can make you able to know the real reason the person made the decision
If more people go one way, than another way . . . this could mean only that more people are right, or that more people are stupid, or more people are informed, or more are not. Numbers don't tell, then, I would say.
There was that time when scientists denied there was such a thing as a platypus, I am told. Then they even saw a platypus specimen, right in front of them, but still they persisted by saying it was made of parts of different animals all sown together. But, once they dissected the specimen, they had no way around it.
The majority, in that case, was educated and in the scientific community.
And humans are now still human. It appears to me, how every one of us has some sort of ability to fool our own selves and not even know it. And I myself can welcome excuses to praise myself for being right and looking down on someone else < this can effect how well I evaluate. And to me it seems that ones taking different positions in a fight or argument can all be wrong; could this be because the fighting and biting ones are so busy with knowing about good and evil, so they can all be fooling themselves away from where their attention really belongs??
