  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Where is Kamala Harris?

The Biden Administration:

-Won’t let reporters in border facilities.
-Won’t answer questions about the crisis.
-And now, won’t let news drones fly over the border.

And the person in charge is no where to be found.

And how did 12,000 people get from Haiti to Mexico?

You didn’t even read the first sentence of the article you posted.

"DEL RIO — Five days after Haitian President Jovenel Moise was assassinated by a group of foreign mercenaries on July 7, 29-year-old Stelin Jean decided to flee the country with his wife and two children — traveling to Bolivia, where many Haitians have arrived recently before starting an arduous overland trek to the United States."

Pathetic.

You don't solve problems in Latin America (or anywhere else for that matter) by mass evacuation of everyone into the United States.

I realise that mass evacuation now appears to be standard UN and Democratic Party policy, but that doesn't mean it's not a totally idiotic, unsustainable, unworkable policy.
I mean, I’ll bet they can drive trucks and work fast food. The U.S. is desperate for people to fill those jobs right now. I worked with Haitians in Florida, they were wonderfully warm, hardworking people. I’d be happy to have them in my city.

According to the article in the OP:

Five days after Haitian President Jovenel Moise was assassinated by a group of foreign mercenaries on July 7, 29-year-old Stelin Jean decided to flee the country with his wife and two children — traveling to Bolivia, where many Haitians have arrived recently before starting an arduous overland trek to the United States.
Ever wonder why they headed 2,495 miles South through Columbia and Brazil to head back over an additional 3,400 mile North through Mexico?

Why did they do that instead of making the 735 mile trip to Florida?

florioda.JPG

How does that make any sense at all?

Could it be because the Southern Boarder is open and if they went to Florida they would be stopped?

There is no need for insulting comments, neither you nor I are pathetic and such terms do not bolster your argument.

where is Kamala? busy working

Harris releases migration strategy amid border crisis

Kamala Harris meets with Mexico's AMLO, says US and Mexico 'embarking on a new era'

"As part of the ongoing and never ending dialogue with Mexico, The Vice President hosted a delegation from Mexico in a high level meeting at the U.S.-Mexico High Level Economic Dialogue (HLED). Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Commerce Gina"

see below

From your first link:

Harris’ plan comes as roughly 50,000 illegal immigrants who arrived in the US between mid-March and mid-July were released without court dates, according to data from the Department of Homeland Security reported by Axios.

Just 13 percent of those migrants had checked in with Immigration and Customs Enforcement as of Monday, despite being ordered to, the report said.
The second link is from June - this is September and it is getting worse, not better.

While 10,000 illegal immigrants wait under a bridge to enter the U.S., 10,000 more are on the way. Border Patrol agents are completely overwhelmed. President Biden is at the beach for the weekend. The Mayor of Del Rio has been ignored as Biden allows thousands of illegal immigrants to overwhelm his town.

"In the afternoon, the President will travel to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. The departure from Joint Base Andrews and the arrival at Dover Air Force Base will be covered by the supplemental pool. The arrival in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware will be covered by the out-of-town pool," the guidance continues.
Well we know where her boss is.

My question is what happened to the “ big beautiful wall” which Mexico paid to built.

Have you been asleep the last 5 years?

Every time he got construction going, Democratic Reps and Senators filed lawsuits and injunctions and anything else that would slow or halt progress.

President Biden said Thursday that he has appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead his administration’s efforts to address a record surge in migrants, including unaccompanied minors, that has strained capacity at immigration facilities at the southern border in recent weeks.
What has she done? It is not getting better, but grows worse by the week.

Her public image consultant advised her to not engage in politics and policy writing if she wants to maintain her image as a successful politician and policy writer.

Well in that case Trump should have read how the system works in USA before chanting “ I will build big beautiful wall and Mexico will pay for it”.

Assigning the border to Harris is only a few steps above assigning Kushner to creating peace in the middle east, and there are a lot more steps to go before anything gets solved.

"sir, this issue has vexed no less than half a dozen presidents"

"Welp, time to hand this off to an underling clearly"

I'm not sure what your point is. Are you trying to say Kamala or some liberal brought them there? So we can get their vote. I've heard so many lies from the right. The question should be. How do we make their lives better. Hopefully somewhere else.
