  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You realize it says they are the same vaccine, right? its the same formulation.

"8 The licensed vaccine has the same formulation as the EUA-authorized vaccine and the products can be used interchangeably to provide the vaccination series without presenting any safety or effectiveness concerns. The products are legally distinct with certain differences that do not impact safety or effectiveness."

Last sentence disproves such a claim explicitly. If it's the same vaccine, why are they legally distinct?

Less irony, more just an attempt to change the subject when empty appeals to "freedom" (to do what, exactly?) in the last post failed.

Will you admit that the vaccines are ineffective to slow the spread of covid19?

No, everyone should be vaccinated to protect everyone in society.

If the vaccinated still spread covid, then what "protection" are you speaking of?

What data would you use to convince me of such an assertion?

24% of cases are breakthrough cases?

DCDHHS COVID-19 Update #112 | Tuesday, September 7, 2021 - Town of Duck, North Carolina

62% of North Carolinians are vaccinated, but we have literally the HIGHEST number of hospitalizations since the start of this all?

And? How does the fact that this individual data point showing the unvaccinated are over represented in new infections lead to the conclusion that the vaccine is ineffective?

After you establish that causal chain, we can move on to why I should conclude that Duck, NC is properly representative of the entire population of vaccinated individuals around the world. But first things first.

None of them answer my question.

62% of North Carolinians are vaccinated, but we have literally the HIGHEST number of hospitalizations since the start of this all?

https://www.newsobserver.com/news/coronavirus/article254048788.html

UNC posted a graphic on social media Thursday with the number of COVID patients at the UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, UNC Rex in Raleigh and seven other hospitals across the state. It showed nearly 90% of the 401 COVID-19 patients and 96% of those patients who were in ICUs were unvaccinated.
Not exactly a great datapoint to prove vaccines are ineffective.

Case rate is back to January levels, despite vaccination rate

And as your data showed, the majority of cases are among unvaccinated people. Not really a good argument for vaccines being ineffective.

No, it's not.

^^^Branded vaccine COMIRNATY, which was released on Aug 25th as the 3rd shot "booster", is FDA approved.

^^^Current vaccine from Pfizer is legally distinct from what is approved and still under EUA. Proof is Page 2 footnote #8, and footnote #9 on page 5.

Study of new vaccine by Pfizer is here

Also,

Feeling lied to by the talking heads yet?
What the FDA approves is the formulation and manufacture of the drug. This is approved for adults and the same drug is available under EUA for teenagers. Claiming that the label is significant in a legal sense will get you nowhere.

Because lawyers.

It says they are the same formulation and they can be used interchangeably, with no safety concerns.

Pfizer is fully FDA approved, end of story.

Because in adults it is an approved drug and in teenagers the same drug is still dispensed under the EUA.
Approved and EUA are legally different, but the drug and the label on the vial is the same and as it says they are interchangeable for use.

That is 10k cases per day as opposed to 14k cases in 176 million people over the period of time the vaccine has been available. You might want to think about your chances of contracting covid a little more carefully.

No, that's 10k cases over 7 days.
