Are you suggesting the unvaccinated are being denied care or is this more precisely the contexts where those who are likely vaccinated or unable to be vaccinated (cancer patients and the like) are being denied care? The latter is supposedly the case and that reflects one major issue in the American healthcare system: if we had resources managed in a way that wasn't trying to maximize profit, then we wouldn't have to delegate as much, but there's also just a plain shortage of people at any level for providing treatment, supposedly

Citation needed on that claim. And rising numbers relative to what? If you frame it as doubling when the numbers would be 4 to 8, that's hyperbolizing and intentionally misleading with regards to your presupposition that the vaccine "doesn't work" when it most definitely does, but it's never 100% effective because of evolution and how that manifests with viral resistance, etc.
but I was talking about being there for co-vid, but just because I am there and vaxed does not mean I will stay there as long as I would if I were un-vaxed nor does it mean that I am as likely as the un-vaxed to need an ICU bed/
After all no vaccine is 100%, but I bet if I took say two people to the hospital the same day both had co-vid and both were otherwise about the same health wise but one was vaxed and one was not I bet that vaxed person would spend FAR less time in the hospital/
More of the issue is inflating numbers, which I find thoroughly ironic when these same people claim some conspiracy of inflating covid numbers and then they'll use the same tactics when it suits their narrative that it's "not a big deal" when we're likely to get to the same numbers or higher of deaths from the 1918 pandemic, even on the conservative end (because covid deaths in terms of technical standards are trickier to get a precise number on), which is 675K.
Almost like these people don't understand nuance in statistics and will do virtually the SAME thing they accuse in terms of some "conspiracy" to inflate covid numbers and just generalize any vaxxed person as suffering from covid when there's plenty of other things that can require going to the hospital.
For example, a family in our community the daddy in his 50s is in the hospital fighting for his life ( no one but the Good Lord knows if he will make it home. ( He is unvaxed) The grandmother so in her late 70s or 80s is vaxed ( I do not know if she is in the hospital, but she is fighting LUNG CANCER along with co-vid and is still doing better than her son is ( who as far as I know his only health concern is being obese.
More than expected. Like to get some real figures on that, but I think it will be awhile. There is still a lot of product to move.
Even a cursory glance can show you that yeah if you're older and such, that's going to put you at risk even if you're fully vaxxed, because your immune system is weaker, same as your capacity to heal bones.
