I believe the curses of Deut. 28 are upon this nation. I expect to see a continuation of frightening events developing into the future, and increase in ferocity. Mankind will need to establish a world government to try and deal collectively with issues. How this will look, is anyone's guess.

On Feb. 26, the World Economic Forum put out a video on Twitter with the caption: “lockdowns are quietly improving cities around the world.”

The video showed images of empty streets and idle businesses and claimed that lockdowns led to a drop in carbon emissions and improved air quality.

We’re deleting this tweet. Lockdowns aren’t “quietly improving cities” around the world. But they are an important part of the public health response to COVID-19.

But...

The video lives on. You can see it here.

“Own Nothing and Be Happy”: The Great Reset’s Vision of the Future

The jobless (and there will be many) could be placed on some kind of universal basic income and have their debts (indebtedness and bankruptcy on a massive scale is the deliberate result of lockdowns and restrictions) written off in return for handing their assets to the state or more precisely the financial institutions helping to drive this great reset.

People seem to latch onto a buzz word and build a whole mythology around it.

Like the "new world order" and its proponents' diabolical motives. The predictions were dire.

So Im not inclined to snap to attention at the announcement of any new latest world domination outrage.

Who is Klaus Schwab?

Schwab as publisher of the World Economic Forum’s 2010 “Global Redesign” report postulates that a globalized world is best managed by a coalition of multinational corporations, governments (including through the UN system) and select civil society organizations (CSOs).

It argues that governments no longer are “the overwhelmingly dominant actors on the world stage” and that “the time has come for a new stakeholder paradigm of international governance”. The WEF’s vision includes a “public-private” UN, in which certain specialized agencies would operate under joint State and non-State governance systems.

According to the Transnational Institute (TNI), the Forum is hence planning to replace a recognized democratic model with a model where a self-selected group of ‘stakeholders’ make decisions on behalf of the people. The think tank summarizes that we are increasingly entering a world where gatherings such as Davos are “a silent global coup d’etat” to capture governance.

Looks like I won't have to worry about having enough money for retirement.

But a UN Strongman will come knocking on your door for protection money, with his squad of goons admiring your front entrance.

I agree. The sources were posted for that reason. :)
I do remember toward the beginning of the pandemic slowdown there was an almost shocking improvement in air quality around here. A crispness to the view of the mountains like I dont think Id ever seen before. It illustrated the way our air should be, and I dont say that lightly. The idea of a combustion-based economy on a planet wrapped in a thin atmosphere that we all breathe should sound absurd, except that combustibles were the low hanging fruit.

As for the "benefits" of remote learning. Thats just the WEF being dumb rather than sinister.

What is the Great Reset — World Economic Forum

A litany of buzz phrases almost all of which I agree with. The vid is a tone setting document, and thats about it.

But I dont have a ton of hope that us humans will make much progress on those fronts, and I think we're consigning the younger generations to a increasingly lifeless and dispiriting world.

When you have a lot of resources and influence at your disposal you're likely to contemplate things those lacking the same would never imagine. Your mindset is unthinkable for someone in a third world country and theirs is unfathomable to you.

Consequences restrain the animal. Take them away and the beast runs free. They're not subject to the same.

Was going to reply that this is a conspiracy theory, but checked to see what forum it was in and realized that it was in the conspiracy theory forum, so I have nothing really to say as I don't entertain conspiracies.

At least entertain that the government isn't looking out for your best interest.

Imo some big thinking is not just ok, but essential. Of course reality will apply the brakes to big dumb ideas. Remote learning had some early appeal, but even in places where its technically feasible pretty much everyone has abandoned the idea that its the proper template for education generally.

I absolutely think we need some big thinking about how we humans are to share the world with all the other life we inhabit it with. Thats been a colossal moral blind spot for most of human history, I think - at least in "the west".

Nope. I believe that overall they are trying to do what's best for everyone and you cannot please everyone all of the time.
