Prayers requested, a friend cancel going camping with me last Friday because her sister passed away. Unfortunately, she may have taken her own life. She had to make a trip out to a major city where she lives to pick up the cat and deal with what's in the apartment and the landlord. She will have to eventually go back to a storage unit once she gets the death certificate. She was so emotional today when she saw me to drop something off. I gave her some flowers from my garden and she put it in her cup holder for the trip out there. She's worried about the cremation expenses and how to get the money. It's a mess.. and the sister cut her out in most other people since she's antisocial.

That is tragic news for the victim, and your friend who loved her must be grieved and worried in many ways, Miss Sampa. Will definitely pray.

Thanks, but it least it gives me a nice little week off and eliminates a harsh string of days I was originally going to have to go through this month due to covering the A crew person's vacation again. Won't complain about that.

I may find someone attractive. That isn't limited to age. But relationally speaking, I'd never date a man in his twenties. He couldn't lead me. He needs more mileage.

I would hate to see you compromise your knitting to gain approval. You were fashioned that way for a purpose and you have to own it. Beauty comes in many forms. If yours is natural and laid back embrace it. Don't change.

I take understated images on purpose. That's the woman he's waking up to. I want him to embrace her. My everyday look exceeds expectations. When he sees me after my morning toilette and encounters me in the evening he'll be pleasantly surprised. That gives him years of delight instead of complaints I've changed. I'm willing to lose on the front end to meet his needs long-term. That matters most.

One bad thing about becoming older.. I've noticed more and more older women around me fishing for compliments and reassurance that they are still feminine looking. I refuse of course.. as a short man I was left in the dust and often mocked for being less masculine because of my height. Fortunately many women at my work for instance have quickly learned to stop asking for compliments. Unlike many other male co-workers I give women my honest brutal opinion.

Body positivity can never be enacted for the millennial generation and beyond. Zoomer women included. How we treat older women needs to eternally reflect how the generation treated shorter men during women's prime years.

I am not going to tolerate feminist "equality".

There was this one woman who suddenly came to work all dolled up. She's about ten years older than me. While the heavy makeup did give her some sense of "femininity, I honestly thought she looked mostly creepy. Like a painted corpse. Some weird uncanny valley thing was going on.

Since I worked nearby her, I had to witness her eyeing every man who walked by and making sure they all complimented about how pretty she looked. Sadly most men gave into this. Although there was one man besides me who didn't. She spent the rest of the day talking about how mad she was about him and that she wasn't going to be talking to him for a while. He never insulted her, he even said hi.. he just didn't compliment her. I have mad respect for him. Nice to see a guy actually act like a man these days. He's quite tall too.

This is one thing I have a hard time understanding about women. Deep down she knows she looks ridiculous. She stopped the dolled up look shortly after. What did she get out of those phony compliments? While some men can be like this too, we don't have this drive like I see with body positive feminist movements. I lurk some short man forums.. and most short men are just honest and blunt about how women really view them. They don't try to delude themselves like I see many feminist women do.

There are plenty of issues with Incels, but they are at least more brutally honest. They do not try to force the stupid idea that biological drives are the result of matriarchy. I am flabbergasted when women (especially educated ones) think the idea that men find women at their more fertile the most feminine and attractive is not caused by biology.. but instead patriarchy because it wants to harm women or something.

How does this outright lie make them feel better about themselves? Personally I'd be sick if I tried to delude myself into thinking that women only liked height because the matriarchy wanted to put men down.

I'm sure you are. But I think it comes down to just preferences. I totally get it, especially since men are visual creatures. Unfortunately we live in quite a superficial culture. Who knows if that opportunity will be right around the corner. Where someone will see beyond the superficial.

The same with another guy I had worked with also, it took a couple months for him to grow on me and to become intrigued. There's something about being stuck in a snow plow truck during the winter... The bond of all the hours working in really tough conditions kind of brings people together, if you have good supervisors or even if you don't and you find how to make things work.

Interesting. It's the reverse for me. A person outside my preference has a better chance of getting my attention online than elsewhere. If he's interesting and ticks my boxes I may give him a chance.

I'm conversing with two former suitors. What's interesting is how alike they are. The same applies to the men I knew in the past. Seeing them in my friend list is insightful. It's the same personality type. Just different angles.

I'm not attracted to all of them. But their energy and boldness is alluring. They have a distinctive presence. I like those qualities in a man.

There is this most adorable young lady cop in the show I am watching on Netflix, titled Strangers From Hell, although I can never remember her name because it is rarely spoken in the dialogue, on top of being, I think, Korean in origin. She's very cute, not just of appearance but also because of her idealistic persona and sense of justice. Despite being a newbie - apparently just out of college or the equivalent - at law enforcement she easily works the hardest of her fellow officers, all older veterans who try to discourage her from going the extra mile in helping civilians and investigating disappearances and strange happenings, tracking down the sources of evil that serve as the main antagonists in this show's universe. Yet she perseveres in playing Nancy Drew and is not easily deterred. A true lady knight in blue uniform. I can't help but adore such a character.
