LOL! You certainly won't need any advice from a novice like me then.

It’s ridiculously cute! You know I want one now. :D

Kidding aside, I like the new themes. We need more women in ball gowns and tiara’s. One of my classmates made Cinderella’s dress for Halloween. She looked amazing. I’m using it as an opportunity to have fun and hone my skills.

I’m leaning towards a historical and vintage aesthetic as my norm. Regency works great for day and evening wear. Many Edwardian pieces are ideal for professional settings. The jackets are gorgeous. In modern times, 1950s is perfect and uses a similar silhouette. You’ll be able to wear a corset and petticoat.

If this sounds crazy I’m not the only one! There’s a lot of us.
There's a reason why there's a lot of you. I think it starts at an early age. Just look at the number of little girls who want to dress like the princess from Frozen, or some other similar film. In some respects, the fact that women like to dress like a princess is an indication that feminism has totally failed.

@JustSomeBloke, that's hilarious! I was swooning over the guy from the afternoon tea video. His voice is soothing. :D
Awwww. That's a pity. When you mentioned gold leaf I thought you were about to start live-posting from an opulent shisha bar.

Nonsense. I'm glad you chimed in. :)

That was never an interest. I loved Lizzie from Pride and Prejudice. That's the only heroine I adored. My desires are practical. I know how to sew and I'm learning to draft patterns. The road to couture begins with bespoke. You'll make your share of ball gowns. Starting now makes sense.

I don't smoke. If I did I'd opt for cloves. The original!

Flipping through my old notebooks of cartoon doodles I did as a teen and young adult. Been a good several years since I've looked at them. Makes me somewhat sad.. I once had aspiring dreams to be a cartoonist. I spent years trying to develop my own unique style. I think I mostly got there. Although it might be a little too abstract for some people's tastes.

Seems like all that work just ended up being a big waste.

You're talking like you're 93 lol.

Van Gogh didn't even START painting until he was, like, 31? Maybe 32 before he really got going? Okay, he shot himself in the chest by 37, but still. In that short time, he'd be recognised by Monet and would wind up in various prestigious galleries...

All you need to do is descend mentally and embrace the madness.

Just enter something for the Turner Prize. If your entry is sufficiently bizarre, none of the judges will want to admit that they can't understand it. The end result will be that they'll make you the winner to try and prove that they really do know what your entry means. Once you've won the Turner Prize, from then on you can produce absolutely anything, and people will buy it.

I had a late start and wondered if it would hinder me. At times I struggled to see myself as an artist or designer. Creative was a safer moniker. Two experiences helped me see the light.

Being among others with more experience allowed me to see my talent in its proper guise. I had one project under my belt and worked alongside people who'd been at it for years. I didn't have the technique or prowess they possessed. That would come. But I had something they didn't.

I had an intrinsic understanding of line and silhouette. When they tried the garment on, I could spot the problems and what worked well. I didn't have the terminology. But my eye knew. I could pick out figure flattering patterns on their behalf. I knew what looked good on them.

I wasn't a perfectionist. I didn't get bummed out about mistakes. If I messed up I laughed and started over. What finally got me over the hump were a series of videos on historical sewing. I saw their process and finished products. I realized I was on a similar trajectory. We all have a starting point. No one emerged knowing everything.

One day it dawned on me. You're an artist. Everything I do is creative. Most of the things I'm interested in fall in the same group. I retooled my day to support creativity. I'm redoing my home to accommodate my work. Because it matters.

I'm inspired by beauty. It feeds something in my spirit. I don't worry about the hourglass. I rest in becoming and enjoy the process.

First, I'd like to apologise for offending some with my music selection.

I was notified about one such being deleted for being inappropriate.

The funny thing is that it wasn't the one that I had realized was inappropriate.

I've tried to weed out my music selections in the past, usually switching a questionable one out.

The majority of the songs I post are my first time hearing them irt....

Sometimes it takes a while for me to play it back and hear the bad in them.

Also, I know that music is one of those conscience things, so even if it doesn't go against my own, I know that we are to not seek our own, but that of the other.

So, I will attempt to keep this in mind my friends

Yah bless and shalom.

Second,

I couldn't help but hear my bosses' news station this morning at work.

And I was convicted...

How awesome is this world system at spreading their gospel!

They use every available means, technique, and tactic to ensure that their goals are met.

So, I began to think about what Messiah said about the shrewd stewards who use ungodly mammon and whatever else they have to do and get what they believe in.

And then I saw this whole business as a kind of a judgement on the church more than anything.

I believe we should ALL be about the business of snatching sheep out of the fire and into the Kingdom in these last days, using ALL of our gifts, talents, abilities, resources, etc ...with utter urgency!

We should make sure every single soul has the Lamb Shot.

I've said this before, the word "vaccination" comes from the Latin word for cow. "Vacca"

So I looked for the Latin word for lamb:

It's "Agnus"

Long before the cow shot...there was the Lamb Shot, and this I have received.

And I am safe, sound, and healthy as can be with this!

PEOPLE MUST HAVE THIS IF THEY ARE TO SURVIVE!!!!!

There's no doubt about this.

Please be a responsible and loving person and

RECEIVE THE AGNUSINATION TODAY!!!!

I do not know how I'd market my art now. Originally I wanted to create a web-comic.. but I feel that depression has killed most of my creativity and sense of humor. So it really feels like that option is a no-go now.

All I could really do is post those doodles on twitter or something. That seems like a waste though.

I created a demo account, so that I could try my hand at trading financial instruments. The account came pre-loaded with £10,000 of make-belief money.

Yesterday I made a few mistakes, but came out on top with a profit of £449.50. I thought I did alright, but perhaps it was just beginner's luck.

Today was an absolute train wreck! Multiple mistakes caused me to lose £76.00 of my make-belief money!

JustSomeBloke, we probably don't know each other but can I ask what platform you're running? I've just finished a final project for ML & Data Science and am interested in putting it to use for some trades. A good platform is key and hopefully one that allows for plenty of test runs.

P.S. I would have PM'd you but I think you have that feature disabled.

I'm sorry to hear that. When did the depression begin? Might there be other explanations for your lack of creativity? For example, I think people in full time jobs sometimes find it difficult to be creative outside of work. If people have already worked a full day, it's often hard to find the energy for creativity. When I worked in another city it took me 90 minutes to get to work. I was spending 3 hours a day driving. Even though I liked the job, it was kind of depressing each day to think that I'd already spent 90 minutes just getting to work, and I hadn't even begun the day's work yet. Most days when I got home, I was too tired to do anything for myself that was interesting, useful, or creative.

I'm afraid that trading platforms are kind of irrelevant to me. My trading decisions are based purely on the charts. I don't use any indicators at all. That means even the simplest, most basic web-based browser platform is perfectly adequate for what I do. And I prefer web-based browser platforms because it means I don't need any other software. Certainly there are brokers who allow API access, but that varies from one broker to another. And as I said, creating a dedicated platform, or using something other than a basic web-based charting platform, doesn't really add anything for me. If you want to run historical price data through a trading model or algorithm, I suggest that you look at a data provider such as Quandl.

I see. You had mentioned they started you off with some trial credit which sounded like this may be an online trading platform, which piqued my curiosity. My project is completely web-based, btw, running up in cloud space and only requires access to an accessible api to do its thing. I've used Quandl. It's not bad but the data is a bit pricey so getting something up and running on a limited budget might be a little difficult.

Thanks anyways.

My friend wants to get me into fishing. We went to the store yesterday for poles but he says there wasn't a good selection. We were going to go to another store, but then were called home to help his family out.

One may as well ask somebody if they'd like to fight when they move towards a deeper relationship, because surely, this is what follows...

Either the struggle will end in a separation or, for the blessed, a lifelong friendship.

If there's no fight, what is it... acquaintanceship?

A no-man's-land of cordiality...

Good things take time and can’t be rushed. Connections should be permitted to unfold naturally without pressure or expectations. Problems arise when longings for closeness impede its cadence.

Soul hunger usually derails it. The want for love, depth, and acceptance squeezes the bud and chokes the life out of it. All that remains are fragments of what might have been.

To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. —Titus 3:2

My biggest stumbling block was fairness. Is fair to desire certain things. Is it fair to hold them to the standard others met. Is it fair to have the ‘best’ in light of your circumstances. Should you consider less.

For a time I thought I could. But I came to my senses. I’m bella. When you glimpse my good vibes thread you’re seeing me. Everyone isn’t interested in afternoon tea, pretty surroundings, or evenings spent by candlelight with classical music in the background.

They don’t need that. But I do. And that isn’t going to change. A multidimensional connection. Someone with a passion for books, food, travel, and so on who’s doing it now.

A man who understands my love of Austen and takes me to Bath to see the light in my eyes. Because she inspired me and he gets it. Someone who feeds the whole.

I want to talk about God and…
