Salvation vs : service.

Every seminary student knows that the word gospel mean good news.

And some people who don't go to man for their learning know that, too.

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My name.

onoma = a "name" (literally or figuratively) (authority, character)

Jesus didn’t refer to the revelation Peter had received as the rock He just renamed Simon to Petros which literally means rock.

I can give you reasons why I think this, if you wish... but they're going to harm the wise masterbuilder foundation if you try to make these two the same gospel. My reasons have to do with the rock and the authority of Jesus.

This is sinning and confessing.

This is the person that runs to John 1:9 to try to get saved again.
This is the person that runs to John 1:9 to get there fellowship restored to God.

They are laying again the foundation of repenting and confessing their SIN, because their faith is brokent and they are trying to resolve by confessing.... what is already resolved by the Blood Atonement.

Believers are supposed to get past this....as all this is dead works.

Are you sure you're quoting the right book? That seems to be 1 John 1:9 you're trying to mangle again.

You should steer clear of 1st John... unless you really want people to make this connection.

Salvation is God on the Cross.
If you want it, you go there.

James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

To be sanctified is for Jesus to cause it.
THe only way for this to happen is. : "Faith is counted as Righteousness".

Our sanctification is Christ Himself becoming our Justification, Sanctification, etc.

1 Corinthians 1:30

So, you are confusing what we have become, "in Christ" with discipleship.

Esaias 43:26 But do thou remember, and let us plead together: do thou first confess thy transgressions, that thou mayest be justified.

One Gospel, One Savior, One Cross., one "way" to Heaven.

This is "the preaching of the Cross'....and John 14:6

John 6:44 No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 4. Loving everyone

The faith that we have when we understand that we are LOST< and Christ is the WAY out...the way back....The "GATE" to God's mercy................becomes smothered by "self righteousness".

Two different gospels.

This is Jesus, the man, pre-Cross, talking to Jews.
This is Jesus the man, before the crucifixion, talking to the "House of Israel", under the old covenant.

After the Cross, you have a new Covenant, and you find Paul.
He does not teach works, or self effort as how to go to heaven.
Legalists, who reject the Cross, teach that message.

Paul teaches the Grace of God as the "gift of Salvation, and the Gift of Righteousness".
He calls this "my Gospel".... =Singular. = 1.

Well according to Sidon the Great Commission failed as soon as the apostles died because after that the very disciples of the apostles and the churches they established apparently all conspired together to preach a false gospel and get this, they even endured persecution, beatings, imprisonment and martyrdom all to spread this “false gospel” that they conjured up on their own. And the best part is that no one objected to this idea, there was no resistance whatsoever throughout the entire church. How unbelievably amazing is that?

Sidon's whole teaching perverts the Gospel of Lord Jesus. Yes, he uses Christian terminology, like the "cross," "blood," "ransom," "Gospel," and even "faith," but ignores all the Scripture teaching regarding these terms, and has replaced the Scripture teaching with his own opinions. All I can say is that some people are in for a rude awakening when Lord Jesus judges the world.

Let me help you understand something about the Gospels.

They are the eyewitness history/account of Christ's Ministry.

Also, Jesus is not the one speaking in the verse that says that """God so loved the world.""
And how do you know?
Its because the verse says....."and whosoever believes in Him".

So, Jesus would not refer to Himself as "him".
He would have said...""Me"..

"all scripture is given by inspiration of God".

Lord Jesus frequently refers to himself in the third person when fulfilling Scripture. For instance, Lord Jesus refers to Himself with the prophetic term "Son of Man" many times, and all in the third person, but is referring to Himself.
