Putting myself in their shoes, and knowing what I knew at that time period, I would have considered Paul a heretic. Why do you think so many Jews opposed him after Paul left the company of James and the elders in the second half of Acts 21?
You ever asked yourself why none of them from that group, James and the elders, even came to Paul's defense during those times in Acts 22 to 26?
Really? You would have considered Paul a heretic?
Well good thing Jesus did not nor the other apostles in Acts 21.
Why did not Jews support Paul's preaching? I already showed why. They FALSELY ACCUSED PAUL OF TEACHING JEWS NOT TO CIRCUMCISE THEIR CHILDREN.
Paul never taught this but got his bad reputation from the lying Pharisees that hated Paul because they also hated Jesus and His gospel.
There was no circumcision that had to be kept among Jewish converts to Christ.
Have you not read Acts 15?
Acts 15:1-2 And certain men which came down from Judea taught the brethren and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved. When therefore Paul and Barnabas had bo small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain other men, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
None of the apostles taught circumcision to jew or gentile to be a Christian. Only some Pharisees and Jews that had converted to Christ tried to bind the law of Moses on gentile converts to Christ. Not one apostle ever taught that to be saved in the gospel of Jesus Christ did anyone need to be circumcised.
Acts 15:4-11
And when they come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, AND OF THE APOSTLES and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses. And the apostles and the elders came together for to consider of this matter. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel and believe. And God which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.
Now James is going to speak. He says nothing condemning Paul of any supposed error, teaching the Jews anything that is against Jewish customs.
So where is your claim that the other apostles were against what Paul was teaching to the Jews? James speaks in favor of Paul not against him.
Acts 15:12-13 Then the multitude kept silence and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. And after they had held there peace, James answered, saying Men and brethren, hearken unto me;
Now read the rest of James' speech. You will find him say NOTHING AGAINST PAUL. If the other apostles were not in support of Paul as you claim in Acts 21. Then why does James support Paul's ministry in Acts 15?
You ever asked yourself why none of them from that group, James and the elders, even came to Paul's defense during those times in Acts 22 to 26?
Show me this false allegation you have made that the other apostles like James in Acts 21 did not support Paul? Sir, you claim that the other apostles did not support Pauls's preaching in Acts 22 through 26 is error.
Acts 21 :17;18-20
And when we were come to Jerusalem(Paul) , the BRETHREN RECEIVED US GLADLY.
Why do the other apostles receive Paul glady if they disapprove of his teaching to the jews?
18 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present. And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the gentiles by his ministry. AND WHEN THEY HEARD IT, THEY GLORIFIED THE LORD AND SAID UNTO HIM, THOU SEEST, BROTHER HOW MANY THOUSANDS OF JEWS THERE ARE WHICH BELIEVE; AND THEY ARE ALL ZEALOUS OF THE LAW;
Not one apostle condems Paul's ministry. Now listen closely in the very next verse who the apostles say does condemn Paul. It is not the apostles but Jews who have brought false allegations against Paul.
21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not circumcise their children, neither to walk after their customs.
Not one apostle made this accusation against Paul.
It was only other Jews like the Pharisees making up this story to hurt Paul and the gospel he was preaching.
So your belief that Paul would have been looked at as a heretic at this time by other apostles. And that other apostles would not come to Paul's defense in chapters 22 through 26 , is poor interpretation of the scriptures on your part.
Rahab and Ruth where not saved by obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ like Cornelius was. They were under THE OLD COVENANT!!! Now you say I dont know when the dispensation occur in the Bible?
Sir, please you clearly do not understand the difference between those who were commanded to obey the law of Moses and those who were commanded to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ruth and Rahab had absolutely nothing to do with how Cornelius was saved. You have not rightly divided the word of God, 2Timothy 2:15.
