No , I am not. and I don’t tell them what is good and what is bad for them. I will leave that up-to them to decide.

well, since you are not, what gives you the right to comment on any issue regarding the Black Community?

Are you African American? If not , I would suggest leave that up-to African-American to decide what helps Black people and what doesn’t. White Americans don’t need to “educate” African American what is good for them and what is not.

The audacity of White American to educate African -American is so repugnant.

Following that line of reasoning. You have no right to say these people are wrong. Do you?

I am not saying these people are wrong, but majority African Americans have completely different view then these 1%.

Only reason you pay attention to these 1% because you agree with them and use them as a weapon against 99% Blacks.

Are you, a White American trying to educate me a non White American in what African Americans believe?

is that what you are doing? Really?!

Or are blacks the only non white race that needs you helping them?

I am not interested in your ethnicity. I am not trying to educate you. My post started with “Ana the 1st” that if he is not African-American he should leave up-to to African-American to decide what is good for them.

If you are not African-American, then you should leave that to African-American what is good for them to decide. Just because you are non-white doesn’t give you license to speak on behave of African-American.

Why? When can we not bring up an issue of concern in today's society? Or is that rule only based on race? It sure sounds like you are trying to educate me on what I can say and what I cannot say. I'm curious as to what White Authority or Privilege you think you have to tell others what they should comment on and not comment on.

Do you have some privilege's here that I am not aware of? Can you show me in the rules where it states that?

If there isn't any - thank you for your opinion - we disagree.

Furthermore - why are you completely ignoring the opinions from African Americans voiced here in video and written reports? Do their opinions not matter either.

How much melanin is needed? This is an important question.

I don't believe anyone is speaking for black people here, but rather it is inappropriate for someone not in an affected group to make declarations on behalf of the affected group.

Like the pro-choice/pro-life debate: it is inappropriate for a man to tell a woman what she MUST do with her body. It doesn't mean that both men and women can't have opinions on abortion but the one that doesn't have the fetus inside of them for 9 months doesn't really get to say how that body that carries the fetus is used. Only the person whose body it is.

In the case of race in the US we can all have opinions on race but really only those who experience racism on a daily basis have the final say on what is their reality vs those of us who do NOT experience it telling them what their reality is.

Some others on here seem only able to see racism when it affects white people and it is gross injustice (which is perfectly reasonable) but when countless millions of black people say they experience racism every day they are told it is "imaginary" or just whining. Which is NOT reasonable.

From the posts of yours that I have read it seems you don't experience racism that affects a large number of black people (per their own comments) and for that you are quite fortunate. I'm sure it is quite variable across the nation and from individual to individual.

Racism is less anecdotal than it is population level. A very large number of black people appear to have a worse experience. One cannot simply assume that the variable responsible for the difference between their experience and yours is something to do with them personally but rather something else.

We have lived in places where there is an affluent black community and places where there is clear signs of racism. The former is usually much less common than the latter.

Furthermore - why are you completely ignoring the opinions from African Americans voiced here in video and written reports? Do their opinions not matter either.

Again, anecdotally there are good outcomes for some black people. I work with a scientist who is African American and he is doing quite well, but that is not the most common outcome and even an African-American woman my wife works with, who is a professional, highly paid academician has had bad experiences when going into certain areas where she is not at all the dominant race. So much so that there are places within this state that she wouldn't feel comfortable precisely because she is black.

I am glad that there are people of color like you who have had a good experience and I hope that one day you will be the most common part of the distribution. Right now it appears you may be on one end of the distribution, not the mean.

That didn’t answer the question. How much melanin is needed to be able to speak for a particular group? (In the case, the Black of Black Lives Matter)

Then do not ever make a post that does not directly effect your group. That’s what we need. Segregation.

Whites can only comment on white issues
Blacks can only comment on black issue
Hispanics can only comment on Hispanic issues

you do not have a clue on earth what you are talking about.

Just because my family overcame it, just because I don’t judge someone accordingly that doesn’t mean we did not experience it.

you really are talking out of your hat.

on your way back, cite where you came up with the 1% figure you keep repeating.

How do you know it’s 1 and 99?

It actually DID answer the question to the extent that the question deserved an answer.

I fear you didn't actually digest what I wrote. That is sad. It was more nuanced but I also understand that is not your "thing".

you do not have a clue on earth what you are talking about.

What, specifically, did I miss?

Just because my family overcame it, just because I don’t judge someone accordingly that doesn’t mean we did not experience it.

Then you sort of understood my point. That's good.

you really are talking out of your hat.

I tend to write for a more nuanced audience, one capable of reading more closely. My apologies.

White man pretending to speak for the black race. This is called "white savior complex" in some circles.

Only reason you pay attention to these 1% because you agree with them and use them as a weapon against 99% Blacks.

Let's be honest... if you think 99% of black people think the same and the ones who disagree only constitute 1%....you need to examine your own beliefs, not others.
