We must work out our salvation, bible: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. And we must be righteous, bible: And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Yes, you work out YOUR Salvation.
Its YOURS.
Because it's "THE GIFT of Salvation".

So where did that come from?
From you?
Are you working out, what came from you? Does Salvation come from you?
Well, not according to The Cross.

So, if you are born again, and not just water baptized, then you HAVE Salvation.
God gave it to you as a GIFT. "The GIFT of Salvation".

You work it out, by learning how to exist within its Spirituality.
You can call this Growing in Grace.
You can call this, "renewing your mind".

Here is what it does not mean.
"im keeping myself saved". 'im trying not to lose my salvation".

Psalm 14: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Romans 3:12 "They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

We cannot be righteous as we are sinners, only God is righteous. Only if Jesus blood covers us, then we are righteous in Jesus, but not our righteousness but His.

Ephesians 2:9 'Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.'

Yes.
Salvation is something God gained for us, 2000 yrs ago.
We don't do it. He already did it, and offers it as "The GIFT of Salvation". = This is God making you righteous through the blood of Jesus.

Not quite. Only God can make us righteous.
I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people
. Jer 31:33

God does not make anyone righteous by the law, as "by the law is the KNOWLEDGE OF SIN."
The Law and Commandments, can offer you no righteousness.
This is why God "found FAULT" with them, Hebrews 8:7., and created the NEW Testament and NEW Covenant.
The Law came by MOSES.
So, if you want to be an old testament saint, "under the law", then chase Moses.
But "Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ", so, if you want to be born again, and go to heaven, then you go to the Cross for Righteousness, as there is no other way to receive it.
Righteousness comes by JESUS's Blood, as Jesus is THE WAY.
John 14:6

No one serves God, unless God in His grace pours His spirit on Him.

That's not true.
Let me show you why.

Jesus said, "depart from me, i never knew you". And these people were casting out devils, "in Jesus name". They were doing Christian works. They were disciples.
Problem is, they are not born again.
They are RELIGIOUS but Lost.
The Reason that Jesus said of these fakirs, "I never knew you", is because He was never IN THEM.
See, if Jesus is in you, then He KNOWS YOU.
But If He is not in you, then that is a spiritual situation where you are not "in Christ" or "One with GOD", and so, you are not Known.......you are not BORN AGAIN.

There are plenty like this, who play church, speak christianese, and do good works, and are as lost as the Devil can lead them.
The are RELIGIOUS, but not born again.
Jesus said...>"You MUST be born again", as that is the only reason you will go to heaven.
Lawkeeping, and commandment keeping, and good works.....need not apply.
God accepts you only based on being "Made Righteous", or you will not remain in heaven, you will only be judged having "died in your sins" for the one sin of Christ Rejection.
That's the one that damns you.

The law just tells us what righteousness "looks like", but cannot, of itself, give us the power to fulfill it. Only God can do that. And that's the meaning of Jer 31:33. And this is why the ancient churches and all mainstream churches continue to teach that man is obligated to obey the ten commandments, even as they know that this is only possible with and by the Spirit. Jesus provided us that WAY.

Alright, so we’re made righteous, not still sinners only now seen as righteous.

Exactly.
You can't be "made righteous" and still be a sinner.
You can't be "ONE WITH GOD and Christ", and still be a SINNER.
You can't be "in Christ" and be a sinner, as there is no sin in Christ.

This is why your NT says you are a SAINT
1. Heir of God
2. Joint heir with Christ
3. Son of God
4. Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Listen.
Ist there SIN in heaven?
Thats a no.
See, God wont' allow it near Him, and so, if GOD is in you, there is no sin in you, or God would not be in you.

"sin" has been "crucified with Christ".
Christ "became our sin", and died, and sin with it.

Well, no.

God accounts the believer righteous because of the believer's faith and trust in Christ who is righteous.

Romans 4:22-24 "but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead." (NIV)

The Cross is a spiritual Transaction.

Jesus became our sin, and we became "the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD........In Christ".

Jesus died because He became our sin, and DEATH was His Judgment for it.
We are made alive, and have now ETERNAL LIFE, in place of spiritual death.

See that Transaction?
That is SALVATION

Ok, so that I understand your beliefs on this, one born again will never sin-the old man is gone and can never act up, can never sin, again.

Faith is the instrument God uses to bring salvation to His people. God gives faith because of His grace and mercy, because He loves us. The Bible emphasizes that faith is a gift because God deserves all of the glory for our salvation. God wants Christians to understand they have done nothing to earn faith, it’s only because of what Christ did on the cross that God gives anyone faith

Here is something wonderful about God's Grace that they wont be teaching you in your Church, more then likely.
So i'll do it, and you can know this wonder.

Its this...

Salvation is all of God.
Beginning to end.
It starts with God's Blood, and end with Eternal life and your new body.
But there is more..

God Himself completes your salvation for you, after He saves you.
And Jesus completes your faith, for you, after you "first believed".

Philippians 1:6

Hebrews 12:2

So, if you , READER, study those verses.... you'l find that God Himself began and finished your salvation, and Jesus FINISHED your FAITH for you.

This is why Salvation is a GIFT.
The GIFT of Salvation.
Its GOD and CHRIST saving you, from beginning to end.

And when you have seen this GRACE and understood it in your inner man, with your spiritual eyes, you are now "renewed in your mind", and are walking IN the Spirit.
But not until.

See, to SEE those, is to be enlightened regarding GOD's GRACE, its to understand it perfectly.

Its to exist here : Hebrews 13:9

As an advocate for “Pauline theology” you might find this verse of his interesting.

“It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; If we endure, we will also reign with Him; If we deny Him, He also will deny us; If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:11-13‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Paul taught Timothy that both he and Timothy were capable of denying Christ and as a result Christ would deny them.

Wrong, and I’ll explain why. Pay close attention to Jesus’ words here.

““I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15:1-5‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Jesus’ 11 faithful apostles have been by The Father pruned because they have already bore fruit. They could not have possibly done that without being in Christ. Later this very evening Peter will deny Christ 3 times.

To what extent would a person who professes that point of view rightly be considered a Christian?

And by the way, most of the world's great religions DO NOT say what the Bible says about Jesus. It is evident, therefore, that people accept Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Shinto and the others without them claiming that Jesus is the only one righteous and the only way to salvation.

Thx for bringing up Islam.

Islam requires its believers to give their life for "allah" as your requirement.

God the Father of Jesus The Christ, gave His Son's LIFE for you.

See the difference?
Its a substantial, remarkable, and eternal difference.

In other words, the Holy Spirit aka The Comforter. He is with us always unless we " quench" Him. Blessings.

"quench" means that you can't hear Him.
It does not mean that Jesus isn't in you anymore.

See, Jesus said that "no man can take the born again out of His hand".

And that includes the believer themselves.....as they are one of the list. "no man".

You can never stop being born again, but you can absolutely stop trying to be a disciple.
Demas did this, and he's not the last.

The Good news is, God made no deal as Salvation that says...>"only if you do right after you are saved, will i keep you".
So, if you find someone trying to fool you into believing that God only keeps those who work hard and live in church, and so forth, then know you are being lied to.

God reconciles, based on His Own blood.
If this has been applied to you, then you go to heaven.
If you are a horrible disciple, on the way, then the devil is very happy with you, and you'll suffer a lot more during the journey.

I don't think you become saved only if you see yourself as saved. You can see if your saved if you sin, since saved cannot sin, according to bible. But to be saved you must be righteous.

Well, kinda.

Here is how God does it.

A person repents from their unbelief, and BELIEVES in Jesus.
God SEES this faith in you, and "faith is counted as righteousness".
So, based on that ONE TIME FAITH, God then washes you in the Blood Atonement.
NOW you are clean, having been made so by Christ's blood that is your eternal sacrifice for all your sin.
All.
THEN, after you are clean, God moves in, and you get the New Birth , and you become a New Creation.

Yes, that is what quench means. Eventually full apostasy will prevail if one quenches His Spirit permanently.

Abraham believed-and

You are posting half a verse, then inventing theology.

Listen, Abraham BELIEVED GOD, and it (his faith), was COUNTED as His RIghteousness.
This is why Abraham is the father of our FAITH, and not of our works.

And its the same with the born again.
God saves us, not because we work for it, or work after we are saved.
Our works are filthy, because they are self effort.
No self effort is accepted as Righteousness.
No LAW can give you righteousness.

What you are teaching, is "self saving", + The Cross, and that is hybrid theology, that does not match the Blood Atonement.

Salvation is not ...>"The Cross + Your lawkeeping.

Salvation is "the GIFT of Salvation", as executed by God's Blood being shed and Christ dying and being resurrected.

Absolutely-he was declared righteous because of what he did. God doesn't declare anyone righteous for mere external obedience of the law,

If acting righteous was real righteousness, then all the unbelievers who act this way in Church on Sunday, just before they become the same carnal devil's again, Mon - Friday, would all be righteous.

So, we are not righteous because of what we do, we are righteous because of '""the gift of Righteousness'""", that has become who we are "in Christ".

The born again, are "the righteousness of GOD, in Christ".
