Well this case there is something in it for you, just not the people you’re supposed to represent. Maybe some of them do tell themselves that it’s somehow virtuous to favor the interests of foreigners over their own citizens.
You say that like immigration is a bad thing.

Cheap labor for the pre-Trump GOP

Where'd you get that idea? Trump has hired illegal workers for construction projects and some of his resorts. Cheaper, easier to have them work unpaid overtime etc. He still had some on the books when elected at one resort, they were all fired overnight at some point.

Before calling Tucker Carlson a racist for wanting to secure the border, and before accusing him or racism because polls show that immigrants tend to vote democrat, which is true, first cast the beam out of your own eye.

Black Lives Matter founders declared themselves to be Marxists.

Did you know that Karl Marx was vehemently racist towards blacks and Jews? I can show you quotes if you like. Marx also hated religion. So why is Marx not being canceled? Why have they invested on an ideology based in systemic racism?

I would not be so bold to call Tucker a racist based on well known data, nor would I call him a racist for wanting the country to secure it's border.

Because it's not about justice, it's about control. Justice, when perverted, is just a trojan horse for power. Marxism, in practice, results in a very privileged view at the top, controlling the labor and lives of those below. It's state-owned public slavery, they just want to play Master.

Man if it was whole-hearted anti-Socialists flooding the border I'd be crying for open borders  Unfortunately, those who respect the rule of law also respect borders enough to jump through hoops to enter legally.

Cheap labor
Yes ,they are willing to work for cheap. That benefits Republicans and Democrat's business owners.
and votes.
That's a lie. Democrats don't expect extreme Christians and Catholic to vote Democrat. Which most illegal's, that are coming from the Mexico border are coming from countries, that hold extreme Christians and Catholic views.
I didn't need an ID to register.
I did. When I applied for mail voting. So did my mom.

Yes ,they are willing to work for cheap. That benefits Republicans and Democrat's business owners.

But it's illegal.

That's a lie.

I wish that were truth, but it aint:

Non-citizens, illegal immigrants in N.C. voting and jury pools

Texas Woman, Rachel Rodriguez, Arrested For Alleged Election Fraud, Illegal Voting

Democrats don't expect extreme Christians and Catholic to vote Democrat. Which most illegal's, that are coming from the Mexico border are coming from countries, that hold extreme Christians and Catholic views

That seems like a massive overgeneralization, most of my extended family claims two things devoutly: Liberalism and Christianity. If a person, claiming to be Christian or not, were to illegally enter a country, why would there be any expectation for them to then legally vote? The DNC has championed the illegal vote, why would they if it was going to hurt them?

I did. When I applied for mail voting. So did my mom.

You probably have voter ID in your state then. We don't.

Perhaps it's about helping people even though there's nothing in it for you?

Or is that too Christian?

The question was about the Democratic Party not about people that help others without wanting something in return.

You can do that directly without turning such charity over to the government.

This is exactly where I realize in an argument with my evangelical friends that they are not sincere in their view about politics and Christianity.

When it comes to Abortion and Gay marriage, my evangelical friend quote scripture and show their passionate faith in Biblical doctrine and how we Christian should try to influence government to ban abortion and gay marriage because that is what Bible teaches us, this is how we should practice Biblical teaching.

Few minutes later when conversation turn to immigration or healthcare for all or better welfare system for poor or free education for all , that very friend who was telling me that as Christian I should vote to influence Biblical teaching on government, starts telling me Government is not the place to practice Biblical principle. They will agree helping the poor, giving shelter to foreigner is Biblical, taking care of widow or sick is Biblical teaching but that is the job of Christian and Church, not the Government. By then they became steadfast defender of complete “separation of Church and State” .

In another word , they want some Biblical principle enforce by Government, other teaching they have reservation.

Tiberius Lee, you really hit the nail on the head. In fact, your story echoes my personal experiences with the majority of the evangelicals I personally know IRL who faithfully support Donald Trump.

In all states you need ID just to get ID:

Driver's license.
Birth Certificate.
Selective Service.
Social security card.
Etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

The idea that you don't need ID to vote is ludicrous.
I reckon that is why they say the US is systemically racist. You need an ID to do virtually anything, except vote.

If that is so please refrain from claiming to be for rule of law or against illegal immigration in the future as you have above said you would cast those principals aside if those violating the law agree with you on other matters.

When you realize how much of American Christianity exists to serve R party interests as a sort of ideological enforcement regime, it all makes perfect sense.

This kind of thing seems to produce genuine fear among a certain section of US society, and probably in other countries too. As it's not just immigrants but 'liberals' in general they get upset about it seems to be something to do with a perceived loss of status or control, or something like that - at least for some people. For others maybe it's just a fear of change or a sense that the way they like live is under threat. Whatever it is, it's strong enough that it prevents people from even being able to think straight. A sizable chunk of US society appears to have completely lost it in the process, buying into any number of bizarre notions and apparently unable to see beyond their noses. All of the conspiracy theory stuff serves as a justification to channel that fear into demonization and outright hatred of whoever is saying or doing something they don't like, and to fuel the fantasy that a character like Trump is 'fighting evil' (etc). It's an ugly business. I suppose it will all fizzle out eventually but Fox and the like are doing their best to feed the fire.

Meanwhile....

Swedish government proposes tightening immigration laws

Three years to assimilate and get a job....

They went from the least restrictions to the extremely restrictive.

It's not hard to understand why. If enough foreigners enter the nation in a short enough time, culturally they are no longer Swedish.

It's rather self evident and a predictable reaction.

That's not even addressing the economics of it.
