So what body did Jesus have when he appeared to John in the Revelation? His eyes were like lamps of fire and his skin like burning bronze and his face like the sun at full strength. He didn't look this way immediately after his resurrection. Do you think it was the same body?

It was a glorified body, which could walk through doors and walls. But its final stage of glorification, I suspect, is beyond our imagination, not attained until we reach heaven - since Jesus told Mary Magdalene not to touch him, as he had not yet ascended.

Everyone that comes from heaven has a glowing or fiery appearance. Even Moses face started to glow after conversing with God. He had a mortal body and this still happened.

Sex is of the flesh. And sexual urges change significantly as one gets older, or are you too young to know that? So what would make anyone think the spirit would have need of sex, much less the desire!? Please don't tell me you expect to make little Caspers in heaven.

The only ones who will make babies are those who are left on this earth when Jesus comes back, and those who are part of the first resurrection that will rule and reign with Christ on Earth for a thousand years.

Sorry to disappoint you.

But why? Why don't those with glorified bodies have offspring? How come the glorified bodies don't have offspring as the Millenial saints? Will the Millenial saints continue to have offspring after the second resurrection? If not, why? What are God's reasons?

As most women will tell you, there are better things than sex even in this world...how much more in the time to come.

And maybe sex isn't that great afterall. Maybe romantic and sexual is lacking in some good qualities of the overall four types of intimacy or whatever: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.
Romance is not perfect. Not only is it not perfect, in the sense of being tainted by sin, but it's not the greatest it could be. It's just a piece of a larger complete primary/main/biggest pleasure. So maybe it's not more wonderful in every way than familial relationship. Maybe there will be a higher form.
The three types of relationships: familial, frienship, and romantic (the third of which may not be in heaven I don't know why)... maybe there's a new, fourth type of relationship in heaven that's neither of these. Except there may not be romance in heaven, leaving the other three.
It's not my consistent belief, but I feel that there will be no friends, family, or romantic partner, but hold on! What I mean is that there's a general relationship with the saints and with God will be something greater than either of these.
Perhaps the relationship with the saints is a superset of romantic. At least the relationship with the saints and Christ together. Every good pleasurable quality of romance and sex will be in heaven, some that will be in a relationship with the saints that is not with an unmarried partner on Earth, while the rest will be reserved to be in the relationship with Christ
Christ is male, so the idea of marriage of the lamb, doesn't help those that fear missing out on marriage and romance. Same sex. Correct me if I'm wrong. Will Christ be as different from men as from women? Will he be a third gender or a whole different thing?
Guys and girls appreciate each other for being opposite. Will we have different relationships with the opposite gender from with the same gender?

Not going to read all these pages. But I believe there is no sex in heaven for a variety of reasons. I believe we will be male and female, the verse quoted is in relationship to being saved, God doesn't care about your gender. But Paul asks us to refrain from getting married but do so if we can't control ourselves. In heaven, it will be so amazing, we won't need to control ourselves.

Agape just seems boring. There's no passion involved with that. Just caring. Eros is just so pleasurable. Aren't eros and agape equal sides of a coin? Shouldn't all the four types of love (agape, philos, eros, storge) be in heaven? Aren't they all equal colors in a tetrachromatic color wheel? Don't they all complement each other eight-way?
I've been thinking that maybe sex is not that great (but sure, it's great for procreation). That sex and its pleasures are just chaotic. You know about how fornication hardens men's hearts? And how pornography and masturbation make men withdrawn. Also, explosion, more like inflation of sexual... Whatever.
Sexual pleasure may be lacking on some things.

Maybe sexual pleasure is just a piece of a greater pleasure in heaven. Maybe sexual pleasure is just that greater pleasure with the outer pieces missing. I wish that were the case so that sex wouldn't require marriage and sex would therefore be in heaven. Sadly, it's not. Matthew 22:30 ends something that was part of the perfect creation.
Why aren't men and women sexually attracted to each other in heaven, not even without having offspring?
