What Biden should have done and hopefully he will learn not to do in the future ...dont fix something that is not broken
So you agree that Biden should threaten Mexico with tariffs if they don't stop immigrates at their southern border? That's what Trump did to stop them from getting to our border.

He felt he had to stop them because we hadn't the facilities to discharge our responsibility to these refugees in accord with international law. We still don't, and neither does Mexico and it's still a cruel mess. Mexico devoted resources to the problem under threat, but we didn't.

I didn't ask why Trump did it, I'm not even saying that it was a bad thing to do. My question is a simple one.
In your opinion should Biden do the same thing?

No, send them back to their countries of origin and apply for asylum there.
So we should send them back to the place they fled for their lives? Is their dying an issue or is it not?

There are drugs pouring into this country harming our kids.

The drug smugglers are not relying on kids asking for asylum.

No. Mexico can't solve the problem by itself, even under threat.

Most asylum claims are not legit. They stayed in MEXICO. The mexican government housed them until they were processed.

Sigh, this really gets old. Of course it is for the benefit of lurkers.
They relied on the border patrol being overwhelmed.

I will ask again, is the children dying of importance or is it not?

No. Mexico can't solve the problem by itself, even under threat.
Who says Mexico has to do it by themselves?
Mexico could receive aid to create camps on their side of the border for these people. Do everything that would be done on this side of the border. Even have Americans there to help. That is basically what Trump created. Why did it solve much? Because once the human traffikers lost the ability to bring people here to be caught and released into the interior, never to show up in court for asylum. That is what was happening. Knowing they couldn't do that anymore and were processed outside our borders it slowed way down.

So it is a crisis because children are dying so we should close the border? You do realize they were dying in their own countries as well, yes?

Hey, where's that compassion???

From what I understand, he signed executive orders reversing title 42....the pandemic order which turned any alien around and sent them back to Mexico.
From what I understood is that they waited in Mexico while being processed for asylum here. Since they could no longer be released into our interior, and disappear, the bogus asylum seekers was reduced. There is no reason to discontinue that.
Democrats shot down the Migrant Protection Protocols by challenging it's legality in court....I don't know if the decision was appealed or not but if it was, I'm sure Dems dropped the appeal.

So now thousands are literally flooding across the border.
They want income redistribution. That is the progressive goal.

You can think of no other solution? It is either cages or left in the desert to die?

I'm not Biden--you know, the guy who occupies the exact same office Trump occupied when he was made out to be responsible for "kids in cages". Now kids are being put in those same cages, and his press secretary won't even address the issue.

Where did you find evidence to show this happening and it's corresponding reduction?

"Flooding across the border!" Everyone panic!

The reason Biden's predecessor wanted migrants to wait in Mexico was not due to some overweening concern for the welfare of children. As we all know, "won't someone think of the children?!" is almost always a scare tactic deployed to sound noble while you're busy trying to discriminate against someone. He didn't like the "dirty furners" that were allegedly """pouring""" across the border, so he cruelly made them wait in the country they were fleeing because he was a virulent racist.

Most drugs come into the country through legal points of entry or by air.

It's nice when someone with expertise comments on that.

Are children still being separated from their families as a deterrent to applying for asylum?
