How could anyone expect cooperation from the Republicans when Biden has now made it clear that he wants to eliminate the filibuster, make D.C. a state and expand SCOTUS. There is no attempt on the part of the Dems to compromise or negotiate in good faith. The EOs have insulted the Republicans and all those who voted for Trump. The impeachment is another insult as is all the talk about retribution to those who worked for or supported Trump in any way. Biden said he wants to bring our nation together but his actions say otherwise. Biden is going to have enough trouble keep his own party united and answering to those who voted for him and are finding out that they are about to be the worse for it.You seem to think that passes lots of "progressive" bills in the House, as they did last time and have them all defeated in the Senate is the path to Democratic victory in 2022. I disagree.
I think that compromising with a dozen Republicans to pass legislation will help the Democrats. Such bills include immigration, health care, DACA specifically, infrastructure, and criminal justice.
In 2022, the economy will likely be in excellent shape, presuming an effective fight against COVID. Even a couple major laws in addition to the stimulus would greatly help Democrats. It would ALSO help Senate Republicans who are up for re-election.
