Thank you for being so transparent before and after the election. You were clear with regard to your goals. Your behavior after the certification by the states gave the Democrats control of the Senate. Thank you again.
And thank you for being so transparent in your support for the March on DC. Your tweets sent a powerful message. And thank you for the speeches on the day of the insurrection. You made your positions very clear for the Republican Party. They will make their decisions over the next few months and years. There is a huge difference between Pence and McConnell and Haley on one side and the Trump's, Guiliani and Cruz on the other.
I cannot thank you for not calling in the guard while you gleefully watched your army attack. That inaction cost lives, and could have cost more, including that of Pence (it was close). I cannot thank you for whatever instructions you directed to the capitol police. I cannot thank you for the calls to senators DURING THE RIOT asking them to overthrow the elected government. HOWEVER, I can thank you for being so open in you defiance of the rule of law. No one need be confused with regard to what you wanted to happen.

I make no recommendation with regard to conviction in the Senate. That is a political decision which could reasonably go either way. HOWEVER, I strongly support the efforts to prosecute all those responsible for the attack, and also the many efforts to investigate the Trump's, their company, their inauguration, and their administration. I don't think that Congress should waste their political time. These are law enforcement issues, which should be left to the DOJ and the various courts.
Thanks again. And, we'll all be counting the size of the crowd at your sendoff in the early morning. We all understand that many thousands were invited. Pence won't even attend. Fired administration members were surprised to get invitations.
And thank you for unmasking the Christian Nationalists. That "prayer service" in the US Senate chamber on January 6th was enlightening.
"Thank you for allowing the United States to be reborn," Chansley said, standing on the dais occupied a few hours earlier by Vice President Pence.
"We love you and we thank you. In Christ's holy name, we pray," Chansley said, as recorded in a video by Luke Mogelson, a writer at The New Yorker. The rioters, many of whom had quietly removed their hats, erupted in a cry of "Amen!"
Militant Christian Nationalists Remain A Potent Force, Even After The Capitol Riot
