You believe they were a system for the early believers to be hidden?
It’s been done so proof there’s nothing new in that. It must be true, but not a miracle ... those never happen anymore according to mass belief.

What does the Bible say about trees?

“And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.” When we read these words in the second chapter of the Bible, we see a setup for the plot.

Trees are awesome and wonderful creation.

Ecclesiastes 11
"1Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again.2Divide your portion among seven, or even eight, for you do not know what disaster may befall the land. the clouds are full, they will pour out rain upon the earth; whether a tree falls to the south or to the north, in the place where it falls, there it will lie. 4He who watches the wind will fail to sow, and he who observes the clouds will fail to reap.5As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the bones are formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things."

It was about Spiritual awareness "And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking." v24 Not natural sight but Spiritual eyes

Jesus had just said "Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?" Mark 8:18

"And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod. "And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread. 17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Then "And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?" v 27

v 31 "And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again."

Referring back to "Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?" Mark 8:18

"And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?" v 27

Yes. Trees always symbolic of people. Different trees represent different types of person. I believe when Jesus healed him, the man saw people as trees just as Jesus could with spiritual eyes. Then Jesus took the healing down a level to normal vision.

The trees once went out
to anoint a king over themselves.
So they said to the olive tree,
‘Reign over us.’
The olive tree answered them,
‘Shall I stop producing my rich oil
by which gods and mortals are honored,
and go to sway over the trees?’
Then the trees said to the fig tree,
‘You come and reign over us.’
But the fig tree answered them,
‘Shall I stop producing my sweetness
and my delicious fruit,
and go to sway over the trees?’
Then the trees said to the vine,
‘You come and reign over us.’
But the vine said to them,
‘Shall I stop producing my wine
that cheers gods and mortals,
and go to sway over the trees?’
So all the trees said to the bramble,
‘You come and reign over us.’
And the bramble said to the trees,
‘If in good faith you are anointing me king over you,
then come and take refuge in my shade;
but if not, let fire come out of the bramble
and devour the cedars of Lebanon.’

Nice poem!

Okay, I have a question:

What kind of trees went out looking to be ruled?
It was an analogy of one of Gideons kids (he had 70 in total and they all road on donkeys)
He was the one that got away before chaos really began in the book of judges. Shortly before the guy with the daughter took stage. Before the Benjamite fiasco. Or something like that.

Oh, yes, Gideon!

The one who hid on the threshing floor, was given a charge, and then asked for verification...thus, testing God?
And then when his fleece tests were granted, he went on to become, perhaps the greatest judge of Israel...blowing trumpets and smashing jars, against all odds?

*His army got whittled down to 300...imagine, trees being afraid to simply breathe and smash through clay...

What color was the fleece, that is the question. Moving on

I hear no one has been able to make fire like the Bynzatines could during the crusades.

Note to trees: smokey is watching
