I am not blaming God for anything except the fact that it is not fair that they can see us but we cannot see them.
"Except the fact that..." You
are blaming him. Just say it plainly. I mean, I get that it sounds bad, but at least you'd be sincere instead of doing this weird hiding thing that makes you sound sneaky.
How do we fight what we cannot see?
But, the sentence before this one literally answered this question...
my soul ran from it and screamed for Jesus and it was forced out of the top of my head.
Jesus is our protection.
I was 17 when it happened and as it turns out, at that time the girls across the hall from my dorm room were invoking demons in their room with a pentagram.
What? How do you know that? But, even still, the point remains; you called out to Jesus and he protected you. What's your problem?
So yeah, why does Satan have power over us
He doesn't. By your own account, the demon was driven away when you called on Jesus. Jesus is our power.
So yeah, why does Satan have power over us and the power to trick us in ways that lead us to hell?
The heart is deceitful above all things. Satan doesn't have the power to trick us. He has the power to tempt us. We're the ones who are responsible for the choices we make. So many people see that as God's fault, but it's so much the opposite; the power of choice is perhaps the most amazing blessing that God could give us. Imagine you are the supreme being of all reality, and yet you make creations who have the power to say no to you. It's an amazing display of confidence, wisdom, and vulnerability. People get so caught up in blaming God for their own mistakes that they never think about how it makes God feel when we reject him through our choices. I guess this is because it's easy to think of him as this all knowing, all powerful tyrant, so far above us that he cannot possibly understand what we feel.
But he does understand, so much more than we give him credit for. Your frustration is understandable, but it is misplaced.
I read somewhere that 80% of the people in hell do not know why they are there.
Wha? You read this "somewhere"? On what basis did you conclude that this information was accurate or reliable?
Why is it our fault that Eve was so stupid?
It's not our fault. It's her fault. She is responsible for the choices she made, just as each one of us is responsible for the choices we make. I'm not responsible for your bitterness toward God. Eve isn't responsible for it, either. God isn't responsible for it. You are. That may make you upset, but it shouldn't. You don't realize just how amazing it is that you can make your own choices. You've got a victim mentality, which is a shame as you, and all of us, were created for so much more.
Why do we have to battle this monster on a daily basis while he pines for our souls day in and day out?
You are created to be strong, wise, and to seek out goodness. That is your purpose. Don't be tricked into thinking it is a burden.
