I highly suggest K-On! for you if you also shrink away from weird, loud anime with ridiculous violence and/or creepy sexual themes, Miss Bella. It's a perfectly light-hearted and simple show about girls in a high school band, and 80% of the music from the show is awesome. Each character is crazy in her own unique little way, but a good kind of crazy.

My daughter liked anime. I watched Sailor Moon when I was younger and with her. And the Witchblade series. I saw both versions and liked it. I enjoyed Case Closed (Detective Conan). There's a smattering of movies too. She seemed to favor action. Warrior types. She wasn't into cutesy.

She told me to ask you if you've watched JoJo, One Peace, Naruto, or Bleach. JoJo and One Peace are popular with the Z Kids. She stopped watching Naruto after the Pain Arc. But she still enjoys Bleach. She said Inazuma Eleven and Inazuma Eleven Go (but not the last season of IEG) are good.

Is utterly clueless about all of that!

The shadows don't come to me while I look for places to hide; I go straight to them and put down every hideous-grinning boogeyman and child-snatching beast beneath my heel. ^-^

I get it. I usually like the male heroes. But the female villains are usually more fun. Although I enjoyed Buffy.

Catwoman set the benchmark. She had great presence on the screen. I watched Batman as a child. Whenever she came on, I rooted for her.

I’m going to bite. I may rewatch it and go through the seasons a little slower. It has the right amount of drama without crossing the line into depravity like The Purge. They made it a series and I’d never watch it. The movies were sick enough.

There is, however, still a great fondness I have for some of it's music, such as below. I'm actually kind of surprised no one has raised an eyebrow at work yet, whenever they walked through my area in the lab and stuff like this was playing off of my phone's many varied playlists =>

Never seen a purge film beyond a Nostalgia Critic review. They look stupid.. but kind of fun. Didn't know they made a TV series. Lol.

I love watching shows like Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, and a few others when I was a kid. I'll admit, I still have an affinity for them. I also remember shows like One Piece and Outlaw Stars. Good times.

Sorry. I just remember there being a rationale for a week of killing. Because in that world psychologists figured out if people could let out stem for a few days the rest of the year they'd behave more. That's so moronically wrong that the movie shouldn't have bothered with trying to come up with some rationale.. lol.

We never listened to the music. I recall her singing some Japanese songs. She had a huge attraction to their culture. But when she came to faith it fell away.

Although I liked classic lolita and Asian fashion and cosmetics, I never embraced J or K-pop. But I’ve enjoyed foreign music in the past. Especially Welsh and Celtic songs.
