It's when he was a tad bit younger. Not 'Dog Day Afternoon' or 'Godfather' era but still not the dinosaur age. And yeah, while you're at it...There's another one he did that's a dark comedy called 'Simone'. It's worth checking out too.

I don't know.. I saw him in the Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill. and I lost pretty much all respect for him. Lol.

Only reason I watched it was because I podcast I liked watched the movie and commented on it. Sad what such a great actor was reduced too. Although he somewhat redeemed himself in The Irishman.

The only reason 'Simone' was a decent movie was that it was such an original and novel approach. IMO

Wow, I remember starting that movie at a friend's house and boy was it looonng. What I sat thru still didn't get thru half of it, I think. It's one I think I want to go back to to finish.

Yeah, it's not the greatest movie but for a director in old age it has a perspective I respect.

Simone sounds interesting. I'll probably watch The Devil's Advocate eventually. Just not sure why you brought that movie up out of the blue, especially in a post where I mentioned watching Mermaids. Lol.

Yeah, I don't know if Martin has won an Oscar yet or not. But if he hasn't then they just need to give him one out of pity. Lol
