CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sadly that's a business strategy for some companies. Kids racking up money on their parents account, lol.
I'd teach my kidlets that microtransactions are evil and should be avoided.. lol.

Laughed out loud for real from that.
I had a friend who bought a car from a video game for like 200 dollars. It's not a real car, but just a car you can drive in a video game. I chewed him out for that.. but I don't think he learned his lesson and will probably do it again when he gets the chance, lol.

She's ... taken.
Well, as I said a few days ago, however lightheartedly, a lovely girl such as her is not likely to go unescorted for too long. And I meant that, thus I should have been better prepared for this punch to the gut. Ah, well, I will just have to step back and be smitten from afar. Not to intentionally make it sound sinister or anything, but I am used to being the guy walking in the shadows at the edges of the life of the girl he adores. ^-^ It's happened once before, and I came out just fine with no personal regrets.
I will simply continue to like her from afar but keep my feelings on the down-low so as not to be a bother to her, for however long my feelings are meant to last. 
It is my understanding that this other man is the same person she'd been seeing for several years, practically since being children, so I would certainly have no right to expect or demand that she choose me over him. .... I think I am at peace with this.

After a considerable amount of time of the Lord not giving me any clear leading (other than to do just what's on my heart) He has directed me to take a road trip out to California. Even though I'm confident it was Him, I'm still going to go thru the process of scripture confirmation to let Him seal it. Last night was pretty cool though. As I was driving in my car and the trip weighing on my mind, the Led Zeppelin song, "Going to California" started playing on the radio. I thought that was a pretty neat thing God did to let me know I was headed in the right direction.
Anyway..California. Anyone want to recommend some good spots to visit there?

Well, I hear up north is really bad right now, as far as air quality, because of the fires.
I think, down here in San Diego (where I'm at) is about the clearest. It's been hot lately, but it should be cooling down.
