40k people are getting this daily despite mask orders, twice as many daily positives as pre-mask order days. Masks clearly aren't working but have become religious attire for people seeking to control others lives.

As for Trump, he has so many people working around him in the White House this was bound to happen. The President cannot hide in a bunker for months on end keeping everyone away from him. He likely was infected in the White House, if anyone watched his rallies no one ever got within 20 feet of him.

It takes just the slightest insult and you have an enemy for life. A slight disagreement and you will never be seen in the same light again.

This took me a long time to realize just how sensitive people really are.

Doctors operate in sterile environments, which is what masks are useful in. Shall we wear masks forever lest any disease is passed between people? If a 99.6% survival rate virus causes this much panic it's hard to imagine justifying ever taking a mask off.

actually...this would probably make the debates more substantive: each candidate in their own separate booths with the moderator controlling who can or can't be heard? That would definitely be more interesting than that last debacle.

I posted something to that effect on a different forum a day or two ago. Maybe I'll post it here to see what everyone else thinks of my idea.

The tyranny of demanding someone wear something beyond a "single layer" mask shouldn't be lost on anyone. This is a virus with a 99.6% survival rate. For those under 70 it's 99.9%, for those under 50 it's 99.99%. The absurdity of wearing a mask over a virus that for most of us is no worse than flu is unimaginable. Media driven fear has caused people to suspend their thinking capabilities.

I'll say it again: two weeks after this election is over, news coverage concerning Covid-19 will evaporate, and you'll never hear anything about it again.

Yes that does seem to be the case. If his doctors were going to use it I'm sure they would have used it now. His doctors are adding in zinc which is also what Trump said he was taking before and vitamin D.

well...that's going to be something of a problem also, if it seems to be too successful, if he's suddenly is up and going in a couple of days people might question how "infected" he really was. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have a treatment that works very well, but since this President has a reputation for having a somewhat...vague...relationship with the truth and reality, it's going to be a tough sell for people to believe if he recovers at a surprising clip.

Growth has gone down a lot since mask orders have been implemented:

In this graph, the higher the line, the slower the growth (the graph shows the number of days it takes for COVID-19 cases to double; blue is calculated based on daily growth, and green is actual: How many days ago did we have 1/2 the cases?)

As we can see, once the mask orders came in to effect around April, growth went down. In mid-June, they started repoening things too quickly and relaxing mask requirements. People learned their lesson, and re-implemented strict mask requirements mid-July.

Point being, by putting on a mask, we have this thing under control. Let’s look at a couple other graphs. As we well know, Republican governors have been more reluctant to implement mask requirements than Democrat governors:

Here’s how all states with Republican governors are doing in terms of COVD-19 growth. It looks pretty good, but let’s compare it to how the Democrats, who have been more strict about those pesky masks, have done:

Fatality rate for people who test positive for COVID-19 in the US is 2.83%: 7,309,028 cases, 207,034 deaths. Since Trump is older, mortality chances are higher.

I am praying for Trump to get through this alive. COVID-19 is no joke.

I don't wish him dead, but I don't particularly wish him in office either.
I think he's extremely dangerous for the nation and likely to create a constitutional crisis in which a lot of people die. So, in my human view, Covid removing him is probably a good thing as it preempts the possibility of that larger national crisis following his previous refusal to commit to a peaceful transition of power a week or two prior. God's view is not my view however. I don't particularly care which party or whose politics hold the office, I just perceive the particular individual as extraordinarily dangerous for the country and it's democracy as a whole and always have. Nothing I've seen in the last 4 years (and ESPECIALLY the last 8 months) has done anything to dissuade me from that opinion. It's in God's hands though where it belongs.

Trumps say in fact he'll honor a peaceful transition! It's the democrats like Hillary Clinton who's telling Biden he should not concede the 2020 presidential election “under any circumstances"! You talk about creating a constitutional crisis!
The real and visible extraordinary danger, for several months now, is the almost daily rioting and destruction of cities! Perpetrated by rioting leftest mobs, democrat supporters, apparently with local democrat government official's and Biden's permission up until a few weeks ago when they finally started decrying the violence because of negative polling data but never condemning the rioters of antifa and BLM as they want Trump to condemn the rather benign groups of white supremacists which he has done!

You say it's in God's hand but will God put up with a party, the democrats, who promote and financially support the killing of a million unborn babies a year through abortion, leaving abortion clinics open in a pandemic while closing churches? Democrats who want to force Christians to accept the gay life style or else they will be punished? You talk about danger to our country...the democrat party is the real danger!
