Has the Holy Spirit explicitly led you to keep the Sabbath?

Some background first: I believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a second experience (check out this thread to know why if interested). I've also watched tons of testimonies about supernatural experiences of all sorts, and in particular I know people who testify about being led by the Holy Spirit via: audible voice, dreams, visions, someone else prophesying to them, etc. (I can share links to specific testimonies for anyone interested in examples btw.)

Now to the point: Imagine that someone is filled with the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit 24/7. Let's call that person X. If X is expected to keep the Sabbath by commandment but he currently doesn't, logic tells us that the Holy Spirit would convict X of his sin, lead him to repentance and guide him to embrace Sabbath keeping (just like you would expect for any other sin).

So my question is: have you ever been explicitly led by the Holy Spirit to keep the Sabbath?

Keep in mind that Paul was prepared to be as a Jew to win the Jews.

If then a believer is called similarly, they may very well receive this conviction - not as a matter of keeping Law but because it is required as part of their calling.

No one is led by the Spirit to break God's commandments *1 JOHN 2:3-4; MATTHEW 5:17; GALATIANS 5:16; ROMANS 8:4. That includes God's 4th commandment that is one of the 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken according to the scriptures in the new covenant *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4. According to God's Word in the new covenant if we break anyone of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin and need to be born again as those who are born of God do not knowingly practice sin *1 JOHN 3:6-9. Sin will keep all those who knowingly practice it once they have been given a knowledge of God's truth out of God's kingdom according to the scriptures *HEBREWS 10:26-31.

Ok, but back to the OP's question: have you ever been explicitly led by the Holy Spirit to keep the Sabbath?

My previous post answers your question already. God's Spirit works through the Word of God not outside of it as it is the Spirit of the truth of God's Word *JOHN 6:63; JOHN 17:17. There is no scripture that says God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments written with the finger of God and spoken by God himself *EXODUS 20:1-17; EXODUS 32:16, has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day of rest. God has led everyone to explicitly keep His Word as we believe and follow it. In times of ignorance when we do not know any better God winks at but when he gives us a knowledge of the truth calls all men everywhere to believe and follow his Word *ACTS OF THE APOSTLES 17:30-31. If we receive a knowledge of the truth of God's Word and reject it then we remain in our sins and sin will keep all those who practice it out of God's kingdom *HEBREWS 10:26-31 according to the scriptures.

Have you received the baptism in the Holy Spirit?

Have you received the baptism in the Holy Spirit?
Yes I have. The words that I speak unto you are Spirit and they are life. Many do not hear them however because they love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. Do you know these scriptures?

Would you mind sharing how it was?
No problem.. The wind blows where it wants, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from where it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. What do you think this means?

I don't know, you tell me. It's your testimony, not mine.

The better question should be how do I know if I have God's Spirit or the Spirit of the devil? We are told to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith or not. We only have God's Spirit when we are believing and following God's Word (present tense). Those who have God's Spirit do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh or do they knowingly break God's commandments. You will know them by their fruits we are told.

There is the indwelling of the Spirit which is common to every believer, but there is also the power for witnessing received by the baptism in the Holy Spirit, which is a second, different experience (take a look at this thread for examples). The purpose of this thread is to ask to those in the latter condition whether they have ever being led explicitly by the Holy Spirit to keep the Sabbath.

No one is under the law if they have repented from their sins and confessed them and believe the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 8:1-4; 1 JOHN 1:9. We are only "UNDER THE LAW" if we stand guilty before God of breaking the law *ROMANS 3:19-20.

The Holy Spirit has not led me to keep the Sabbath day. But, He has led me into the Sabbath rest.

No one enters into God's Sabbath rest by breaking his commandments. If we are knowingly breaking Gods commandments according to the scriptures we are still in our sins *1 JOHN 3:4 and have not seen him or known him *1 JOHN 2:3-4

But Cornelius and his household received all the baptism in the Holy Spirit, but as far as Scripture reveals, they were Gentiles that feared God but in no place it says that they were Sabbath keepers prior to their Holy Spirit baptism. And their baptism was quite dramatic by the way:

Acts 10:44-48
44 While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. 45 And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles. 46 For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, 47 “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.

Or are you going to say that Cornelius was a Sabbath keeper?

Maybe that is what you believe, but that is not what I believe the scripture teaches (Hebrews 4). I am not under the law. I am resting from my self-righteous works of the law and trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ. God bless.

Are these two commandments or not?

1 John 3:23-24
This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him.

These two commandments are not the ten so what gives?
